T&C say "Pay in at least £1000 in the 31 days after your switch completes and another £1000 in the 31 days after this..."
What does anyone reckon 'this' refers to here: 31 days after the switch date, or the date of the first payment of £1000 i.e. if switch day is day 0, first payment is on day 1, second payment on day 2, would this meet the t & c? Or does payment 2 need to be on day 32 at the earliest? A bit ambiguous I think?

I would guess one payment between day 1 and day 31 and then another between day 32 and 63. I have just opened this account so I will let you know!0

I read it as this initially, but I agree it could be either. I'm going to do both to be on the safe side2018 wins: Aspinal of London jewellery box, Boudavida gym outfit, HP Pavilion laptop, The List party tickets, All Points East festival tickets, Kiehls moisturiser, By Terry cc serum, Nars Liquid Bronzer, Benefit highlighter, Nars illuminator, Fresh advanced lip trio set, Cetaphil sample set, signed copy of My Absolute Darling by Gabriel Tallent0 -

Pay in at least £1000 in the 31 days after your switch completes and another £1000 in the 31 days after this and keep 2 Direct Debits for this period. These payments can’t include internal transfers from any other account you hold, or jointly hold with someone else, with Clydesdale or Yorkshire Bank.
I agree it does sound ambiguous.
I look at it like this: you have 31 days' from the date you've switched to "bank" £1,000 and (so if you switched on day 0 you then have until day 31 to credit the account) and then the clock 'resets' on day 0 of month 2 and you've another 31 days' to credit another £1,000.It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -
I've had bother with this (even though I had different T&Cs) and I was told that I paid my first £1000 on 22/12 but my second £1000 on 28/1 and the 2nd payment was more than 31 days from the 1st £1000. So they told me it was 31 days from the first payment.0

Thanks all,
So to avoid any difficulty, I guess I'll do 3 payments: day 1, day 2, day 320 -
Hi - a quick question if I may.
I'm switching an unused M&S account over to YB to try and net the £150 switching bonus.
It mentions paying in £1000, during the first 31 days and then a further £1000 later on.
My question is, do you need to maintain that initial £1000 in the account, and can you withdraw some/all of it and then redeposit it to satisfy the second £1000 requirement?
Thanks for your help0 -
The t&c (http://www.cbonline.co.uk/resources/0956a153-3298-45a4-93e9-2d502d2bd3a4/080342-CYB+CA+Cash+Incentive+TandCs.pdf)
only say you need pay in £1000 twice. Nothing about maintaining the balance, so yes you can pay in £1000, remove it, then pay the same £1000 in again. Be careful about the dates at which you do this though (see my previous post)0 -
When opening a new account, first time online user, Do you start the switch at the same time as opening the account or can you do it later?0

Some let you do it at the same time as opening but you can always do it later. As long as you meet the 30 day deadline.0
