Lack of S75 is a worrying issue, which is how the whole Amex saga got going (well, officially....).
How did you arrive at that conclusion? The lack of Section 75 protection on an American Express card, where Curve is used, is of benefit to Amex, as it reduces Amex's liability. Therefore it would not be a reason for Amex to prevent Curve from processing transactions via Amex.

The real reason was the lack of customer service from Curve, which resulted in card holders phoning Amex instead.

A Supercard is better for those that can topup, but not those that want to use a linked credit card.
    What??

Using a linked credit card is surely the point of using Supercard. That's what I'm doing anyway,
  • Curve Rewards launches today – double-up on your existing credit card rewards!

After a number of delays, The Curve Card launches Curve Rewards at 3pm today. Hopefully.
This has been some time coming, to put it mildly, but it does look it will be quite cool when it is up and running.
Curve Rewards offers you instantaneous cashback when you use your Curve card at one of the 50 participating retailers. No waiting around for ‘pending’ or ‘validating’ – the cashback will be available to spend as soon as you leave the store.
If you are not familiar with the Curve Card I will run through the product again at the bottom of this article. The key things to know are:
The basic version of Curve is free (in fact, Curve will pay you £5 for trying it out)
Curve is now available for Android users as well as iPhone
Curve works with any other Visa or MasterCard you hold
Curve is currently targeting the small business market. You will be asked to confirm that you run your own business, are a partner in a partnership or have some form of self employed income on top of your regular job during the application process. If you do not feel able to make this declaration, you should wait for the consumer version of the card which will be launched soon.

Who are the Curve Rewards partners?
The following retailers are Curve Rewards partners. From a travel perspective, the key one is Marriott.
The two cashback rates shown are for the Blue (free) and Black (paid) Curve Cards respectively. Remember that tracking does not start until 3pm today so don’t hit the shops at lunchtime!

  • Sadly it appears to be a watered down version of the scheme for public sector workers, so even the double cashback for me is less than on my other card.

The T&Cs, exclusions etc are identical, so anyone that either does any work in the health service, or knows someone that does, can go for that one instead. For others, it is a pretty reasonable deal - especially as Curve cards are essentially free nowadays.

Curve have said they're looking to expand it, so if that does happen it'll be very promising - especially when you add the cashback to a cashback credit card and still manage to use Imutual/TopCashback/quidco etc
  • I tried out the Curve card, but I've stopped using it, for one main reason. When doing a transaction on Linked Card A, then switching later that day to Linked Card B to do another transaction, if the first transaction isn't sent by the retailer until the next day, it charges to Card B too.

I decided to install the app as I find one legit use for this card, able to use a cc for gambling sites without a cash charge.

However it just says "your curve card is currently pending approval" for several days now.
  • Signed up 2 days ago, my card is now on the way. Excited to see how well it goes.

Seems all a bit of a mess.

No contact number for customer support.

No information on what ""your curve card is currently pending approval" means and how long it should take.

    Does this explain it?
    https://support.imaginecurve.com/hc/en-gb/articles/115000684989-Why-is-my-transaction-pending-or-delayed-

If you log into the app and click on 'Support' on the bottom right, click on 'Managing my account' and then the link 'More questions? Contact us' you can let them know what your problem is and they open a support ticket for you.

I ordered mine about 2 weeks ago and it arrived in 2 days. Have made 2 purchases using it, no problems here thus far.
