Just back from familiarisation night, we were told there is 600 less kids doing the transfer test this year, 40 less doing it at the school my daughter wants to go to, just wondering will that make the lowest score to get in any lower.0

That's interesting Candykid. Not sure though that there'll be much of a reduction in the Lisburn area.0

I would actually say if less kids do it then average will be higher - I hope i'm wrong!!!0

I thought if less kids did it then there are more grammar school places free.0

I have been looking through the schools intake numbers (various schools through out N I) for the last 5 years.
When the numbers applying to the schools falls even by 20 the lowest scores can drop by up to 5 marks.0 -
oh brilliant candy kid that's what I like to hear - the school I would love her lowest score last year was 106 but at moment she is averaging about 78% which I think is about the 100 mark0

Work has stopped here today. No homeworks. Tomorrow half day at school and all sport and art project in the morning. The teacher is trying to get them to chill out a bit. Some kids are off with a tummy bug and now I am stressing DS will take ill. I have been insisting it wash his hands properly etc... in fact we are probably getting a bit OCD about here! I wonder it really is a tummy bug or nerves though. They are all so wound up.0
