So you mean that if you are not eligible for the 20% gift you'll have to pay more?
I think they've made that quite clear, and have not misled you.
It would be misleading if they did not include the explanation on the advert and you only found out about a greater price at a much later stage, but they've included this info from the start.

Seems a bit off to me, taking this further you could advertise a £500k house for £100k, as long as you state the buyer needs an 80% mortgage lol. Its not like the 20% is free money it has to be paid back, or 20% has to be repayed upon sale.

Obviously a new bit of slightly dishonest advertising by agents then!

I saw slightly, as they do mention it, but I say dishonest as they're flagging a very different price across the top.

Did the OP ask for your opinion on what it looked like?

How about people like new builds because not everyone is concerned about fireplaces, cornices, slate roofs etc. And how about people like that its a blank canvas, everything is new, well insulated, all double glazed, ensuites, storage space, no worries about whether the roof is going to fall in, garages, driveways, parking, local access etc.

If people didn't like moving to new builds the market for older properties would be even more extortionate.

Suggest your keep your opinions to threads that ask for them.

Ah the OP posted on a public forum?

If one wants to limit the responses one gets, one should not post here :)

Great, you like it. So say so. Don't start having a go at other posters just because they don't agree.

Who peed on your fireplace?? Ouch

Newbuilds are not the end all be all. The current quality of new builds leave alot to be desired.

Pemission, Taylor wimpey e.t.c all have very very mixed reviews. BBC watch dog did 3 episodes on Permission recently.

In fact their overpriced almost always and as soon as you step into the front door, the value has dropped drastically.

Im not disagreeing with you. But the OP is not asking for opinions on new builds or builders.

im not the one posting an opinion. Im saying people have different tastes and no one was asking whether you like the property or not.

If you cant help pr be constructive then dont post and do everyone a favour.
