Good morning all, its wet here but it look a little bit like the sun may come out. Here's hoping.
Yes Rose, its not worth going out for a paper and having a fall best wait a bit like you say.
Hope everyone else is OK.
At dentist at 11.15 for a temporary crown and not looking forward to it at all.
Good luck everyone.BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0 -
Morning. Seems a bit chilly here but not as bad as where you are Rose.
I too hate the cold Sheils.
All the best at the dentist Sylvia.
Off to meet DD1 for lunch today. She has Day off.
This month is going quickly. Good luck everyone.0 -
Good Morning,
Looking nice here, sun shining but been really cold and icy.
The ice is a bit worrying with DD going away about 6am to her placement as the girl who gives her a lift sounds like a dreadful driver.
We won't be heading out too early.
Been looking for a break either at Twixmas or in New Year to make up for our expected quiet Xmas. (I know, we never need an excuse!)
Have found some but hoping for some extra bargains appearing on Friday. I will be ready.
Hope the dentist goes OK Sylvia. We have a check up booked in few weeks.
Have a nice lunch leanfun.
Good Luck everyone.

 Hi everyone
Thankfully the weather here today is mild, sunny and a
vast improvement on yesterday! Bit cloudy on and off
but mainly sunshine. :T
Hope your appointment at the dentist went ok sylvand
that you had a lovely lunch with your DD1 today leanfun.I did see him alfie he was hilarious. It must be terrible to be as phobic about anything as much as he is. Did you see ant and dec on the aftershow thingy. Ant said he thought he was speaking in tongues lol. He did do well though. He has another bush tucker trial tonight along with danny baker.
:T :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Thought they both did well in the bush
tucker trial last night rose - lol at the snake sitting on top
of Adam's head! :eek: :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I see Martin was trying to introduce Adam into 'hugging a
tree'!
Am starting to feel a tad sorry for Martin - he seems very
insecure.:undecided
Crikes .... Christmas is just over a month away! Must
get organised.
Have a lovely rest of the day all - take care.

Don't get the tree hugging thing alfie. But whatever floats your boat. The trial was good though. The thing they did for the dingo dollars was a bit of a revelation though. Shows who is putting on a front to be brave and those who don't. Snake was funny on adams head though thought he was going to get in such a state he would pass out.0

I missed last nights celeb Rose/Alfie as I fell asleep and just couldn't keep my eyes open for want of trying so went to bed then couldn't sleep!
I am really enjoying this series though as I like the group all expect Danny Baker!I do like Martin though from homes under hammer and I think this isn't really the show for him to be on.
Alfie/fire**fly, don't get me started on Phoney flipping G! I didn't watch show on Saturday as I was at a race night for sons footie but I got all excited when she was in sing off on Sunday. She's out of tune, has no character and them glasses are annoying me! She couldn't 'wrap' a present!
Sylvia, hope your porch is ok after the rain. We had torrential downpours and flooding around our area. My roof is leaking ten times worse now again but we were quite lucky as we have a beck right at the back of our garden and there was flooding right near us. It's been quite warm today ironically!
Good luck for dentist x
Fire**fly, I love watching magpies too they are so funny and clever.I've probably mentioned before that Mam has a family of them in a tree at the end of her garden, they've been there for years. My bro's house is at the back of mams garden too (although his house is round corner) and the magpies just torment his elderly dog who can't run as fast and is half blind! One magpie torments him nipping his tail while the other takes it in turn to pinch his food or biscuits if his bowl is out! I bet it was fun watching them chase squirrels!
Hope they managed to grit the roads Rose! Stay safe xx
Leanfun, hope you enjoyed your day out with DD
Sheils, hope you get a good deal on a bargain break this FridayAlthough I am sick of hearing about Black Friday! Then it will be cyber Monday next!
I think the workmen from our road must have been reading my posts, they got in touch the other day and said they are aware of the road unfinished and the electricity needs to be in our house to drill between us and next doors so I think it's going to be messy! I was going to decorate too but leaving it now until after Xmas. Glad they are sorting your road out.
Hope the weather is better for you indie too!
Katie, I saw that you went to the Coke truck today. Glad you enjoyed it and hope you feel better now xx
I'm so jealous of everyone who has their presents in, wrapped and tree up!I'm way behind again! (Can I borrow them roller skates of yours Sylvia!
)
I did get a nice cheque in today for £10 from a hospice lottery that I doBig thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -
GK's off home. GS is like his dad hollow legs he had two bowls of soup and three slices of tiger bread with them along with his cheeseburger. Dil took home remains of soup and tiger bread to have for her tea. She had lunch in the canteen at work so a plate of soup with some bread is enough for her. Also picked up an uncooked tiger bread and a dozen petit pains to put in freezer for cooking on Christmas day. The girls in lidl are good that way they gave me them uncooked last year as well. The instore bakery bread does not keep the same if you buy it ready the day before. Well done on on hospice lottery win wingo. It is still freezing here and supposed to be colder tomorrow morning:eek:0

Another cold, frosty morning here.
Well done on the £10 wingo. Hope you get your road fixed soon. We are getting bits and pieces filled in here but still a nightmare as single track and we do have a bus every few hours as well as other large vehicles. The pavement that isn't all dug up is being used for driving on and passing.
Workers park everywhere too and we still don't know when gas will go off again (shiver)
I haven't had a look at the Advent thread yet. Must go and have a nosey.
Hope everyone has a lucky day.
