We've had a very wet day here, it was absolutely chucking it
down a couple of hours ago - just easing off now! Excellent
weather for ducks!

Hope it's 'warmed' up a tad for you sheils and rose - be very
careful when out walking though, especially if the paths are
still slippy.

Thankfully managed to get provisions in plus lovely charity
man called by to collect remainder of boxes I had previously
packed for him before the heavens opened.

Was fairly hopeful when she had to do the 'sing' off but
then it went horribly pear shaped - she was like a thing
demented/possessed :eek::eek: and when the judges voted
for her to stay aaaargh .... pfft!

I'm watching I'm a celeb alfie. Quite enjoying it. Still freezing here and frost and ice have not moved since this morning. If i have to go out will be using car while I still have it. DS due home any time now just waiting on word.

Went out a walk later today because of frost. It has turned milder now and is raining!
Phone and Internet have now been fixed so I happier .
They have started to fill in some of the gas trenches - could be another 2wks before they are finished. They didn't cause my line fault though as this guy found it just coming into the study. Not underground at all so guy could have fixed it on Friday if he had done his job properly.
DD enjoyed her first day on placement.

been terrible weather here all day with heavy rain & had lights
on nearly all day!

Hi everyone really nasty day here, not stopped rainin gand very windy. Rain was driving into our porch, we have had to put buckets and bowls under, collected about 5" of rain and had towels down and a plank of wood to stop it coming into the house. Thankfully think the wind must have changed direction now so will hopefully sort itself out. The roads are not flooded so thats good. Hope you are all OK.






I remember those skates Alfie as had a pair, went eveerywhere on them. I am ashamed to admit that I did put a pair on last night and the lady in charge very kindly helped me to at least go up an down once. If I had had more confidence I would have been OK but was worried I would fall over and not be able to drive which would not have been good with OH going in hospital next week! Oh well I can cross that off my bucket list now LOL.

You seem so organised with you Christmas shopping Rose, I need to get my Skates back on LOL.

Hope everyone has survived the storm OK. We have had a bit of wind and rain but nothing much. At least if the road had flooded a bit there were trenches for it to go into!
Lovely to have the wifi working properly again. Have a few phone calls to make later too now the phone is OK.

in the rain with magpies close on their tails
great you're all up & running again with phone etc,
rains not to bad here though today thank goodness,
feel sorry for those getting the floods again,
