Nipped over to shop for some milk and nearly passed out. A young guy who was already in there was wearing so much aftershave it was overpowering. Had a coughing fit when it caught my throat and couldn't breathe. Guy who owns the shop went in to a panic and nearly phoned for an ambulance. Was able to signal to him didn't need one. Really got a fright. Why do youngsters wear so much aftershave/strong smelling deoderant. Had to use my inhaler when I got back home.

big thanks Alfie ((((hugs)))) must admit I was a bit worried
& unsure about the injections etc but you've
put my mind at rest :A
    & thanks rose :A x

No worries fire**fly - literally there's nothing to it, just a
quick jab and that's it done and dusted for another few
months. As time goes on you will really start to feel the
    benefits. :)

Hope you're ok now rose. :A It must have given you such
a scare, not to mention the poor shop owner.

I really don't think these people realize how strong the
smell is  - bit like that Febreze Air Freshener advert
that's been on the TV recently - sadly they've become 'Nose
    Blind'! :eek::eek:

OK now thanks alfie. Did get quite a scare. Hopefully shop owner is ok as well. Will nip over later or in the morning. Do not know who got the biggest fright him or me.

Pleased you are ok Rose. Totally agree with you about excess use of these things. I have nothing wrong with breathing but can't go into shops with all those smells. He shopkeeper will be relieved to see you ok.

Firefly two of my friends are on these injections and they are exactly the same as Alfie. You have solved a puzzle for me. One of my friends had a fall in her house and knew nothing about how she fell. Later she was on those injections. I often wondered why she had a fall. She was fine after a while. This is something that can be treated. I'd never heard of it until a couple of years ago when the first friend was diagnosed.

Hope everything is back to normal soon Sheils.

I too had one of the £50 vouchers from Tru Diamond.

I've been out with DS to a greasy spoon cafe for lunch not too cold here.

  • Thanks everyone for DS bad luck on the driving test - we've told him that at least he knows what its all about now and put it down to practice:)

stokiebecks - hope your brother feeling a bit better I had my tonsils out when I was 18 after monthly bouts of tonsillitis it is really painful a horrible thing to have. a year later I had my appendix out as well I don't know which was worse! nice win

Wingo - sorry to hear your sons having problems at the school and the teachers haven't got any logic for their actions!
Leanfun - we've had every kind of weather here too from sun, wind, hail, rain, sleet and snow and even a double rainbow!

Indie - well done on your win enjoy your days off as well:)

Sylvia - only drops of snow here but freezing cold. Good luck for SW moving onwards:)

Firefly - thanks for doing the puzzles, hope your feeling better with the injections when you start them :)

Sheils - hope your engineer has been already? any more trips for this year?:)

Alfie - thanks for DS test news he put straight back in for it on DVLA and for the times of the day that was the best date.

Rose - know what you mean about perfumes they are a nightmare. my two lads spend more on aftershaves and hair stuff than I do on perfumes!

Hope everyone has a good night/weekend:)

I was watching it rose too. I think the phelan story is a bit OTT. You would inform the police straight away instead of breaking in to the yard! Hope you're feeling better now. My DH must put a full bottle of deodorant on every day and he wonders why I'm allergic to him!

I'm sure your DS will be more prepared next time luckofthedraw and be more confident too.

Fire**fly I'm sure my SIL has them jabs too. Perhaps your fall happened for a reason to let you know you needed them injections. Xx

No snow here Sylvia but it was a bit icy and frosty this morning. We had to grit the playground so it must have been slippy.

Well done on the wins leanfun, indie and Becks :j :T

Alfie, hope you managed to get all your DIY sorted out! :)

Fingers crossed your internet and phone line is back on soon Sheils. It's usually the case when they dig up our roads!

Don't you just love snuggling on the sofa when it's cold outside and you don't need to go out :) Just me, my chocolate and tv! Kids are doing their own thing in their rooms so peace for me!
