Hi luckofthedraw, Glad no operation is needed for you but not good having to rely on painkillers. Hope DS passes his driving test. Sounds like you have been making some lovely food. OMG what an amount for a pram, never knew they were that price.
BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS
  • thanks Sylvia,

the pram was a shock but I knew they were dear, but by the time we added on the rain cover, footmuff, changing bag (it had to be the right one!) and then I spotted a lovely blanket and a sheepskin liner and 2 pram toys etc. etc. It is a pram/ carrycot and a pushchair and a car seat sort of 3 in 1 type thing - it is lovely though

I'll let everyone know how son gets on tomorrow:j

I know painkillers are not something I like taking so leave it to the last minute where I can they cant be good for you long term

Good luck to your GS luckofthedraw and fingers crossed for him. It took me 3 attempts before I passed but then I got married, had kids and never really got back in the car! :o
Hopefully the painkillers are enough to stop you having an op but it must be painful for you xx

Sylvia, hope DH's appointment went well and hope he's taking things easy before his op xx

Alfie, I think I remember them cars out years ago! I always loved my dad's caravette which got all 7 of us in plus some of our friends too!

Hope you had a good day with the comps fire**fly and hopefully the puzzles are ok for you tomorrow (well today!) :)

That's good news your sister is on the mend leanfun xx

Sheils, I hope you managed to get some bargains in metro centre. I keep meaning to go there but it always gets really busy this time of year. Good news your DD has her placement :)

I'm glad you got a perfume sample too Rose :)

Indie, us women don't get days off remember! :D Even at the weekend when I'm off I'm still hoovering, ironing etc....it never ends does it!

I should really be in bed but hubby is snoring so loud so I will wait until I'm ready to drop before I go to bed!
I ordered Microsoft office from eBay seller and they've sent key code through email but I don't have disc or anything. It did say it would be here by Monday but not sure if they are sending a disc out or anything! I don't want to download it myself incase key code doesn't work. I need it for job applications that are from work. The school said I could do it on PC in school but I won't be able to concentrate there so would rather do it at home.

Luckofthedraw it's good you don't need an operation but bad that you are in pain (hugs). Good luck for your son today.

Proms are another world. A while ago we were in Mothercare and I saw they had one for over £1500.

Hope sftwarevis sorted soon for you Wingo. Agree with you about trying to do it at work.

Hope you have a good puzzle day FireFly.

We have DS coming for weekend this evening without GKs.

Sylvia somehow I thought your DHs op was this month wrong month.
We seam to be like you something on every day.

Can't believe how quickly this month is going. Good luck everyone.

I think Xmas preparations are getting earlier and earlier fire**fly! It's only middle of November and there was once a time when the Xmas edition of mags came out 2 weeks before Xmas and people decorated their house end of Nov beginning of Dec! I saw someone putting all the lights on their house the other day. I thought they might be just getting them prepared but no...when I went passed again they were on! :D

Have a nice day with your DS leanfun. Sometimes it's nice to have adult convention without the kids listening in! :)

Hope it's a bit warmer for everyone else today. It's freezing and icy rain today. I think we might see some of the white stuff soon!
Have a good day everyone and hope it's lucky!

    Good Morning,

Well done to all the winners there were when I was away.
Been busy here since we got home. Our street makes it look like we are living in trench warfare and now our phone is off and wifi going off every now and again. Bet the gas men have done something! Anyway someone coming tomorrow afternoon.
DH taking DD up to Dumfries for yet another injection (she needs so many for nursing and was missing some from school too as they missed her out ) She also has an assignment to hand in so will save her changing buses all over the place. Be nice for them to have chat together anyway as we tend to chat away and leave poor DH out.
Deciding whether to hang washing out or not as it isn't looking too nice.
Been loving all your pics Alfie and FF. Sorry haven't looked for one today yet.
    Good luck everyone.
