 Hi everyone
Well, we have had the strangest weather day here - one
minute - blowing a hooley  the next ... brilliant
sunshine! Yet it's still mild! Not long now before it gets dark!
Had a fairly busy morning - three lovely guys came a visiting
 ....... to sort out a couple of my trees- use them
regularly so know them well.
They gave the trees in question a good heavy duty prune and
they'll be back February time to do some other bits n' bobs.
Managed to fill yet more boxes for charity :T so got another
guy coming around next week to collect them from me ....
I tell you, it's all go here!:rotfl:
Did anyone watch I'm a Celeb last night? It was absolutely
hilarious watching Adam Thomas versus the spiders!
I couldn't breathe for laughing so much at his actions and
the strange noises he was making :rotfl::rotfl: - I won't ever
be able to watch him in Emmerdale again without grinning!
Poor boy.
I'm so pleased that your sister sounds a wee bit better
leanfun and although still weak, is on the mend - peace of
mind all round. :T
Lol sylv - I can remember the sticky out indicators too!
Happy days!
Crikes luckofthedraw - had no idea baby prams etc were so
expensive!
Hope your son did well and passed his driving test this
morning.Wonderful news that no operation is needed - bet
you'll be one very proud grandparent pushing your new baby
grandchild around in the gorgeous pram! :grinheart
Aww, hope you can get the Microsoft Office software sorted
out wingo. I agree, home is so much easier when you have to
concentrate on filling out job applications etc. Still, at least
you have the option of the schools offer if need be. xx
Lol - am loving your snowman pic this morning!
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Great that your DD is having some quality time with her
Dad sheils and it makes for an easier day all round for her
what with needing another injection plus having to hand in her
assignment etc. Phew, makes me tired just thinking about it!
Lol Stephanie - don't blame you! This is the very reason why
I no longer stockpile Xmas food cos the older I get, the less
willpower I have, especially if it's exceedingly scrumptious
and sort of begging me to eat it/them!
:rotfl::rotfl:
Well. had better make myself another cuppa and get on with
the never ending catching up of comps!
Have a lovely rest of the day all and take care.

hi all,
Bad news on the driving test - son failed:eek: he had a really good drive until waiting to pull out at a roundabout he saw a car indicating left to pull off so waited and then pulled out BUT the idiot just carried on coming round the roundabout  and when he followed the car along the road after the same car had their indicator on all the way along the straight road which was so frustrating !!! He's going to put back in for it but looks like January for dates available now
really windy and rainy here now and gone really cold outside.
FF - I remember when TV and radio times came out for Christmas so we could see what we would be watching over the holidays and circling everything long before sky etc and that felt like Christmas had begun!!
good luck for wins everyone:)0 -
Well the weather sure didn't know what it was doing today...half way between town and my nan's house I got caught in a rain/sleet/hail storm that just came from nowhere. I was soaked to the skin and then as quick as it started it stopped and the sun came out. None of my clothes ay my nans though so was stuck in wet clothes all afternoon. Also been round to my brothers who is in bed with severe tonsillitis so expect it will be my turn to be ill soon but would never not visit as he is so poorly with it and he needed some soup and tablets£2 Savers Club for 2022 #120

Strictly come dancing in blackpool this weekend so I expect it will be busy around - should be good to watch though on Saturday night the Tower ballroom is beautiful:)
must get on with my pasta bake and garlic bread:)0 -
Aw that's a shame luckofthedraw. At least he has another test booked right away and hope next time is lucky for him.
Eeesh Alfie...you'll have them neighbours curtains twitching with all them men in and out!I watched celeb too. I don't normally like it but I like Scarlett on gogglebox and capital radio so I knew she would be funny in it. I was cringing at Adam with them spiders! _pale_
Hope DH and DD have a good chat together Sheils. DD2 always says she doesn't spend much time with her dad because he is always taking son to football. I suppose it's the same for me too as I have the girls mostly. There's lots more jabs to be had nowadays, the flu jab, hep B jab, and there's more jabs in school too. It was just the hep B jab when I was doing nursing!
Don't feel guilty Stephanie, I've already opened the tin of celebrations too!
Hope you've got through them puzzles ok fire**fly! Don't feel you have to rush them Though you need to keep your strength up. :A
Hope your brothers ok Becks xx Tyrazettes are good for tonsillitis and you can buy them over the counter too.
It's never stopped raining here and it's freezing. My tresor bracelet came already today too!
School decided to exclude son again today because he was literally 2 mins late and when he tried to explain the reason why he was told not to answer back and said they were putting him in consequence room. Well this upset him and he refused to go in so was excluded. To make matters worse the school called my mum asking for my dad. Mam got really upset by it. I've told them lots of times to take dad's name off register as he's passed away but they still call. They know I work in school right next door too if they needed me.Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -
Evening peeps. Hope I find you all well. Weather here today has been all over the place. It is now snowing. Hope your son is ok now wingo. Will he be going in tomorrow? I'm watching I'm a celeb. Tasks are getting a bit hairy this year.0
-
Thanks Wingo I always have Tyrozets in but they dont touch my brother whe he gets like this. Has tonsillitis every year and they refuse to take them out even though it affects him so much . Mum is currently taking him to the hospital as shehas been advised by the out of hours medical line as even the strong cocodamol arent working at minute. Feel so sad and useless that I can't help. Know he is a grown up now but I have pretty much bought him up from him being a teenager so got all the worries about trying to help£2 Savers Club for 2022 #120

StokieBecks hope they are able to effectively treat your brother. You can go down quickly with tonsillitis and with antibiotics pick up equally pick up quickly. Hugs for all.
Luckofthedraw sorry to hear about your DS's test at least he has a new date. Trouble is it's more money.
Wingo do hope your DS is Ok. That school is dreadful. That's all I can say.
So pleased your bracelet has arrived quickly.
Been warm but rain and very dull and windy here today.0 -
Rose, I don't think he is allowed back in tomorrow as it's usually a 2 day exclusion although they didn't say on phone. When he does go back in on Monday though he still has to have a full day in consequence room plus an hours detention! I really don't see the point of him going in but I want it out the way so he can concentrate on his schoolwork.
Becks hope your brother gets treatment at the hospital. I know how painful tonsillitis is, DD has had it a few times and I think it is worse when you're an adult.
Hasn't been very warm here today at all leanfun. It's been a dramatic change in the weather, yesterday was warm enough to go out without a coat on but today is icy cold rain and winds. I don't do cold very well!
I thought celeb was a bit boring tonight so I've been trying to do a spotty costume for DD2 for CIN tomorrow. I've ended up with glue all over!Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0
