cvcvcvvc.jpgI live in the country so do not get heavy traffic but yesterday my 4 yr old cat stepped out of a field opposite the house and a car hit him. There was no blood so he must have broke his neck. The elderly couple driving came to our door really upset to tell us. I am glad that they told us and that we did not have to just find him. My kids are deverstated and have been crying. Today the house feels so sad and I feel so down and can't seem to snap out of it. I will not get another as I can't face going through this again. It just feels so much worse because he was so young. He had come from a litter hand-reared by a friend as the mother cat had been killed by a car when they were a couple of weeks old.

I'm so very sorry to hear of such sad news Cath.

He was such a handsome boy. :A

I completely understand how devastated you and your
    children must be feeling.

We are all pet lovers here and I know everyone will
be in complete sympathy with your very sad loss of a
much loved furry family member. :A

'Rainbow Bridge' is a wonderful verse - maybe share it with
    your children ....

I think the last few lines are very poignant ..... 'so long gone
from your life but never absent in your heart'.

Please take care - from one puddy cat lover to another. :A

That is lovely thank you. I will show it to them in the morning, my children are 8 & 9 yrs. The house feels empty and all day I have found myself looking for him out of the window. We have decided to take all his food and other bits to the local cat rescue to donate in his memory. He was such a gentle loving cat. I keep telling my children that it will get easier as the weeks pass. Thanks again.

Such sad news Cathp. I lived in the country as a child and my beloved cat was run over too. My parents didn't tell me though and I spent weeks searching for her as we were inseperable. At least your children know the truth. My daughter now has a kitten and lives in the town so I am so scared for him when she lets him out.

Aw I'm so sorry about your cat Cathp :( It is sad when a pet dies because they are part of your family and then your emotions kick in of feeling guilty, angry, sad at the same time. It's awful for the kids too no matter how resilient they are. Alfie's words are wise and the verse is lovely to show your children xx

Sylvia, I meant to say...well done on the weight loss with SW :T I'm really up and down with my weight last few months, I keep putting it on then losing it again but I'm eating no differently either!

Thanks for the Buddha fire**fly :A I had my first little win of the month early this morning. I got an email saying a fiver bonus from a bingo site I must have registered with a while back. I didn't remember registering with it so I clicked on to check and I had so I used the £5 bonus and won £70 :) However I had to contact them to change my bank card as it expired a while ago! Son also got a free aftershave sample I sent for him from freebies :)

I hope you've had a good day Sheils, are you back home now?

Loving the aunt acid pics Alfie, they always make me laugh! :D

Just watching X factor. What is everyone else watching?
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!
