stayed a nice sunny day here today
getting chilly now though,
hope everyone's had a good day
Well done FF - glad your luck is holding out.
Sounds like you are both getting organised Sylvia and Becks.
Haven't really thought that much about Xmas as no children in family anymore and with 2 sons who will be working miles away and one living in Sydney I can't get enthusiastic. DD will be here but her bf has his family and a little sister to see. DS3 says he has a week off on 11th Dec so will be down and cook an early Xmas meal for us all then!Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Christmas dinner
I've a couple of nephews & nieces still young so am going
to be looking for something nice for them,
always send the GK's money to let them buy whatever
they want lol, lots easier that way
hi becks, well done getting organised tooplease be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -
Well done on your wins fire**fly :j great start to the month!
I agree I think kids prefer money these days instead of presents as they usually want it for gadgets anyway.
That's a great idea Sylvia doing the tote bagsEveryone needs the bags now. I tend to forget mine and buy them again! Hope you had a nice coffee in town.
Indie, you're right about the chair challenge on XFactor, it is unfair.
Aw Sheils it's nice to have someone cook Xmas dinner for youHope all the family can get together with you all soon!
Hi Becks, nice to see you in.Your photos are really good so it's a good idea with the calendars. I've started writing lists out for Xmas....that's as far as I've got!
What sort of cat is yours Alfie? He sounds full of fun. I've always loved Persian cats but I don't know anything about them! Mam didn't like cats so would never let me have one but apparently I sneaked a kitten under my bed when I was younger!
DH thinks he knows where wasps are coming in and put some powder down. It took him hours before he plucked up the courage to get up the ladder to them!Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -
Good Morning,
Up early as car has to be at garage for 9.30am and it takes at least 45mins to get there. Eye test is at 10.40 so will have time for some shopping first.
DH still has an M&S voucher to spend. He got a nice shirt and tie with the last one he got but don't think the tie has been on yet!
Hope everyone has a lucky day.

 Good morning everyone!
I hope you're all ok.It was a beautiful day here
yesterday and set to be the same for the next few
days! :T
Had a busy day including getting loads of washing out
and dried. Unfortunately there is a downside to that
namely the dreaded ironing. _pale_Ho hum!

Also ordered the calendars I do every year (my dad likes to dish them out as they are my photos). Done neighbour a bird one as a little thank you and know he watches the birds we get as often tells me what he has seen.
:santa2: Did someone mention Christmas?
To be honest I've not had much time to think about it yet
as been so busy!
Your calendars sound delightful Becks and how lovely
to give a birdie one to your neighbour - it will be a
brilliant pressie and bet he'll be very chuffed with it. :A
Crikes sylv - you've been busy making lovely Christmas
gifts too. I much prefer homemade gifts though, it shows
a lot of thought and love went into the making of them.
Although I also tend to give the younger members of
my family gift cards so they can enjoy a bit of a
shopping spree and choose something that takes their
fancy! :T
I agree indie/wingo/sylv about the X Factor chair
challenge - I hate that part - it's so unfair and seems
a very cruel way to choose/eliminate contestants!
That's lovely of your DS3 to cook an early Xmas dinner
for you all sheils. I've got the 'usual suspects' here for
the Christmas hols!:rotfl::rotfl:

I've got a little tortoiseshell puddy cat wingo and very
beautiful she is too. :grinheart
Lol at you sneaking a kitten under your bed when you were
a young thing!Bet your mum had a shock when she
discovered it! :eek: :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Crikes .... your DH is very brave going up into the loft
to deal with the wasps! I think there may be a wasps nest
in an Oak tree near to mine but I'm such a wimp about
wasps that I haven't been over to take a closer look! _pale_
Well, am off out for the morning so must have a quick
catch up with the comps before I go!
Have a lovely and lucky day all, take care - I'll pop
by later.

Good morning all, some brilliant pics today everyone, thanks. Its certainly getting colder now and I seem to be spending all my time clearing leaves outside my door. The tote bags have been making are rather lovely as they are completely reversible, more like a bag you take out with you than a grocery bag IYSWIM.
Can't believe Christmas is just around the corner now, we have the family from Durham coming up so that will be nice to see them all.
Glad your DH managed to sort the wasps in the loft Wingo.
Nice to see you in the Inn Becks, your pics are lovely. Its good that we use the skills that we have to make lovely Christmas presents etc.
Have a lovely day everyone.BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0 -
