Hope your son and his family settle in well leanfun and fingers crossed for a place in reception class for GD :) I got letter in today for youngest to apply for secondary school. They've put her down for the one son and DD1 were but I'm not sending her there. It's too late for son to move schools now but the school failed DD1 and the school is so regimental the kids are scared to attend. I believe in enjoy and achieve so I will have to appeal against DD2 going to another school.
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!

    Thanks Wingo.

Oddly enough when I read your DD2 was eleven and would be changing next year I though of the the terrible time your other two had at that school. I feel the same as you about schools and would definitely appeal for your daughter.

Last week I had two WEM's. One was for walking trainers and the other for a Modern pressure cooker. I can't even remember the name of it. I must find the WEMs and send thanks

thanks leanfun x I think it's going to be a slower process
than I thought as have to take everything seems like 3 times slower than I normally do,
painkillers are a godsend but can't rely on them forever,
sounds like you've been busy helping sort out GK's :A
& hope all goes well for them.

have a great day all whatever your plans &

Thanks FireFly. the battery is down on iPad and I can't find the comp for modern pressure cooker on laptop but I am so pleased because one thing it does is soup and Im determined to make some this winter. Not been successful so far.

Going slow can be tedious but if you overdo things recovery can take longer. You'll need a lot of patience. Do rest up when you need to and enjoy a nap. Big Hugs

That's it. Thank you FireFly. I've never wanted to use the old pressure cookers I was always a bit frightened but this looks completely different.

Late in today, had a bit of a lie in as seem to have been very busy this week and DD didnt go until after midnight. DS was very helpful yesterday and helped me take my sewing maching in for repair and fixed the casing back round the pipes in our bedroom so only have 2 walls left to paper :j

Well done on your 2 wins leanfun, both very useful. Good luck with the soup making.

You will need to take the painkillers while you are recovering firfly otherwise it will be too painful for you to move about. Do take care and dont over do it.

Saw the pic of your DD & friends on fb Wingo they looked to be having a really good time. I totally agree with your not sending your youngest DD to the same school as the others went to it sounds awful. Hope you maage to find her a place elsewhere.

Take care Alfie and make sure you drink plenty in the heat.

    Have a lovely day everyone.
BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS

I was hoping for a nice lie in today until about 9ish but someone opposite our back decided to start fixing a roof at 6.30 this morning! Then I came down ready to put my washing out to find the washer faulty and not run properly! :o I need the uniforms washed so trying again. The postie did bring me some Simple face wipes though :) Ideal for DD1 to put in her college bag.

Do take things slowly fire**fly as you don't want to overdo things. Wishing you a speedy recovery :kisses3:

Is it tomorrow you come back Sheils? Hope you've really enjoyed your hols.

That's great DS is helping you out Sylvia. Sounds like the house is coming on well. My DH has been off for some time now and isn't as enthusiastic to do chores in the house! I've nagged him to get back to work now so hoping he's going back next week. :)

Well done on your wins Leanfun :j That sounds like a really good pressure cooker, hope you get your soups done to perfection :)

Yeah my DD is too scared to go to that school so I will appeal against it. DD2 is very bright and is on a higher level than my other 2 so I don't want that school bringing her down.
Well sun is shining so I will pop out and make the most of it while we can! (Before Alfie does her rain dance! :p )
    Have a great day everyone!

    Hellooeee everyone!

Hope you're all ok - and fire**fly - am sending gentle
(((hugs))) to you. :A Keep taking things one step at
a time - before you know it you'll be back to whizzing
around like a whirlwind.

It's a tad wet here to say the least! :D Got a little bit
soggy this morning when I was out shopping.

No need to worry about me doing the famous Alfie
rain dance wingo :p I've got all that I need at the
mo! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Though yay ... it looks as
if it's brightening up .... at least the garden has had
    a decent watering. :D

 How big was the spider in your bath that the
spider catcher only just fitted over?:eek:

    spider07.gifpeurbleue02.gif

Now, now - don't you go sending them over to me you
little scallywag! :naughty::grin: I have heard that yon
fire**fly is very good with all manner of 8 legged
    creatures! :whistle: :rotfl::rotfl:

Don't blame you for looking for another school for your
youngest DD. The school in question (re your older DD and
DS) was/is absolutely shocking! _pale_ Got my fingers n'
paws crossed for success re your appeal. :T

:j Lovely wins leanfun! Very well done! :j :D :T:T:T

So very pleased that your DS and children have now
settled in at friends holiday home. Brilliant to hear that
GS loves his new school - fingers n' paws crossed for a
reception class to become available for your GD. xxx

It's lovely that your DS has been helping you sort
everything out sylv including fixing the casing back round
the pipes in the bedroom. :j He's an :A! I agree with you
re our lovely fire**fly still having to take painkillers ...
they will most definitely ease the pain and stiffness
enabling a little more movement as each day passes. :j

 Hi ellemm - welcome back! :D No wins for me
I'm afraid, not for the want of trying though! :p I used
to love 'slogan' comping back in the day and used to
win all sorts of lovely prizes ..... ho hum ... dream on
Alfie! :p Wishing you lots of luck.

Well - it's just started to rain again so guess I'll have to
keep myself busy indoors doing a bit of comping etc. :p

Have a lovely rest of the day all, take care and I will
catch up with you later. :)
