Hope you have all had a great day today. Managed to get 2 load of washing dry without it raining.

I haven't heard of it either Sheils, shame he didn't get her autograph though. Your meals sounds lovely. I had salmon and DH had kippers and some lovely veg with it. Haven,t had tapioca for years either, we used to call it frogs spawn as kids.

Glad you had a nice time pottering around your garden firefly, our patio plants are coming on nicely now although the sun flower keeps getting attacked by the slugs which is a shame.

    Enjoy your evening all.
BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS

hi sylv, glad your patio plants are coming on nice now
we don't have much problems with the slugs now
as hedgehogs/frogs seem to be doing their job in the night,
but I still do the old fashioned job of crushing egg shells
round the base of the sunflowers to help keep slugs away,
works for most plants & hope i'm not trying to tell
you something you already know :o

    :hello: Good morning everyone!

Hope you're all ok on this glorious Sunday and last
    day of the month!

Just cannot believe how quickly the year is flying
    by! :p

It's another lovely weather day here - sun is just
appearing now and birdies are singing away. :D

I've not heard of the woman either sheils or seen
the programme but it's lovely that she complimented
your DS3 and said how much she had enjoyed the
meals while staying at the hotel. :T

Not very keen on tapioca but fascinating history here:

    //en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cassava

all about the Cassava plant and how it's a major staple
food in the developing world amongst other uses! :T

Lol Inkling re animals snoring loudly! I've had quite
a few pets over the years and yep ..... they all
    snored! :D :rotfl::rotfl:

Have a lovely day all, take care and I'll catch up
    later. :)

    Good morning,

Sun shining away here again although yesterday we did have heavy showers. We managed to trim the large shrub but haven't got to the weeding yet.
Just been reading about tapioca from your link Alfie and not sure I fancy it any more! I just saw a tin and fancied it as hadn't seen it for so long. They don't have it in our local supermarkets.
Hope everyone has a lovely day.

    Morning everyone!

My sister recently bought a tin of tapioca and thought it was disgusting, haha! I hadn't realised it was from cassava though - you learn something new every day! My dad bought some lemon and chilli cassava chips (think they were Cofresh) from the supermarket when I was staying with them, but I wasn't very impressed - they didn't taste much of lemon or chilli, and all the bits just stayed in my teeth for ages!

Love the dog pic Alfie. :)

Afternoon,I don't mind tapioca but haven't had it for years. Lots of homes i work in use it weekly as the older generation seem to like it. I had an early shift today, but had a little win before i went. I won on the Haribo comp, couldn't believe it when it came up with congratulations..lol. Didn't say what the win was but we shall see when it arrives.Hope you have all had a good day so far. It's been sunny and cloudy here but still very warm.

Well done indie, didn't realise that comp was still going. I gave up on it a while ago as I don't really like their sweets very much and hadn't heard of anyone winning.
Have had a busy day here, mainly in the garden!
Becks got her partner to play a song for DH and me on his radio show this morning so that was really nice. Don't often get to listen to his show as it is on a Sunday morning when we are seldom in.
