Hi everyone. We are back home again and it hasn't stopped raining since we left Preston. It is all misty here too. Not a nice journey home although no hold ups. Did a shop at Sainsbury with vouchers I had and did quite well with money off and points and a 7p a litre off petrol too. It was bit of effort but saved a fair bit on things.


Sorry about your car Sylvia, hope it isn't as bad as you think although I know that can be an expensive problem.


April I hope you are feeling better now. Things always seem worse at night for some reason.

Fingers 'n paws crossed for you Inkling that the Radio
Station prize will arrive soon - I'm sure all will be ok but
it's quite annoying having to chase up prizes.

Only had the weeniest bit of very light rain yesterday
which lasted all of 5 mins!

Maybe I'll have to get out and do a little rain dance -

Morning all!

Well I'm up to two voicemailed phonecalls and an email without return now. I feel like a jerk for chasing, it's just the call happened so fast and they never said much about the when they'd be in touch, and I'm nervous they didn't get the right contact details. I'll feel better when it's all settled.

I won a book through work the other day... not sure whether to count it in my wins list.

Great on the sunglasses Indie -- congratulations!

*big hugs to April* Sending some extra lucky thoughts your way -- sounds like you could use a break.

It's grey outside again but at it's Friday so in good spirits. I have the weekend to myself with no obligations so far, so I'm already considering turning gelatinously lazy for a spell.

Alfie I tried sending you our rain and it has gone (sun peeping out) but don't know if it is on its way to you! Just hope it hasn't headed to April instead.


Inkling it is annoying trying to chase prizes. My first big win was a holiday to Ibiza and despite everyone looking, no-one could find the competition so had no idea what it entailed. The person who was in charge of it had gone on holiday and it took forever to find out any details. I was so worried it was a scam. I eventually got the prize weeks later in the form of a £1,000 cheque although I did have to have my photo taken for publicity. Have had several others which took months to arrive even after chasing them.


Not much of July left now. Hope everyone has a lucky end to the month.

Thanks Sheils -- there's just this overwhelming illogical fear they'll take it back because I'm impatient or a comper or something (they played me on the radio, so doubtful). I know it's so silly, but it's just starting to nibble. :P
