Evening peeps. Well that was one belter of a thunderstorm we had. Not seen lightening like that for years. Last time was when I was in Majorca years ago when we had an electric storm. It was like night time for a long while. Sky was so dark. I am surprised windows were not rattling thunder was so loud when it was overhead. Had to switch of tv and computer as lights were flickering and didn't want any damage to them. It is still really warm here although still cloudy but no rain. Some poor peeps had giant hail stones but we didn't just really heavy rain. Hope everyone is well and had better weather than me today.

DS and GKs went home today. It was so good to see them after two years and get to know them again. We are going to miss them,

On Sunday i went on the train to DD2 with DS's family. It was great for them all to meet up. Unfortunately the DD's toddler was sick before we arrived. Then next day everyone else was sick. I didn't stay long but last night was very sick. USA GKs missed Peppa Pig World yesterday so they were very disappointed. Hope DS was not sick on journey home.

Yesterday I had a WEM from the Delicious June daily comp to say I have won a Kenwood chef pastel sense. I'm over the moon about it. I always wanted one but have decided to give it to DD2 as she cooks and has arthritis in her hands. I'm not sure who posted this on regular comps to thank them.

well done on wins ff and leanfun. Kenwood chefs are fab leanfun. Used to have one dil gran now has it. She has problems with arthritis as well and she is a fab baker. So she might as well have use of it instead of sitting in my cupboard.

Good Morning,


Been really enjoying our break in this glorious sunshine was worried we would get one of the storms but only had a shower while we were driving to Rhuddlan Castle yesterday and one on way back to Chester from Llandudno so we were lucky. We climbed right up to the summit of the Great Orme yesterday and then had fish and chips on the Prom.
Will be heading home today but want to have a quick look at the shops before we go. Only going to be home 3 nights before we are off to the Peak District . These 4 nights were squeezed in as they were free and too good to miss!


Well done on the wins FF , leanfun, Inkling and anyone else who has had one.
Hope you are feeling better leanfun. Sickness bugs are a downside to mixing with children. Our kids used to always be bringing them home from school. Same with colds.


Hope you have finished your decorating Sylvia and everything is as you want it.
