Morning all. We are home from Madeira after a 28 hour plus delay. We were due to fly Monday morning but it was very windy at airport so incoming flights could not land. It's so hilly there they built the airport on stilts in the sea. We were at airport all day but then Thomsons bused us to a hotel. Yesterday more waiting at airport then left ahout 4pm home after 9pm. Thomsons were good we heard easy jet people had to find their own transport and accommodation.


We had a good break. Two friends from Manchester were in another hotel and two friends now live there. So lots of meeting up. Hotel was good. Wifi only in reception. Bit of a headache this morning.
Hope everyone is well. Rose hope you are a bit better. Will read back and catch up later. Hope someone has had some wins.

Seems we have brought the sunshine back. It was so cold when we went.

Hello, back from Yorkshrie today to lovely sunshine, we have had terrible weather all the while we were there. Had a lovely time though.

Welcome back from holiday leanfun, glad you had a good time meeting up with friends etc. Sorry you were delayed on the way back.

Well done on any wins while we have been away.

Just been reading through and catching up. Well done on all the wins.

The day we left for the airport it was so cold I nearly felt like going back home. Sylvia I'm pleased you had a good time despite the weather.

April hope sun comes your way very soon. Know what you mean about it being May. It was light until 8.30 here and I really had a jolt thinking we are rushing towards the longest day. Lo.

Confused I haven't made Quiche for years but agree with you. Shop bought are nothing like homemade. DH came home with a tip to put some mustard in the mixture and it made the quiche much deeper.

Yummy to your crumble FireFly my all time favourite.

Great to hear your win is living up to expectations Sheils. So sorry to hear about your BIL.

Wingo we have been thinking about your family. So sorry to hear your news. That's the third in no time. No wonder it has affected the children. Big hugs.

We picked it up from Post office today. It will make a great present for DD1.

I also had a parcel of Toast and Jam. (A bath wash and sponge) from Prezzy box. Also a Benny Hill DVD and the X rated Mascara and something else.
Great surprises to come home to.

Sun shining away here already - shame we have to go home!
Had lovely time though, Somerset one of our favourite areas.
Heading off after breakfast, should be 6 hrs driving to get home but there are loads of road works so will take longer. Will need a stop too. Want to vote when we get back as well.


Great you had a good time in Madeira leanfun but shame about the delay. Our longest was 9hrs and was a nightmare with two small kids. DH had just had food poisoning too! Well done on the wins.
