No wins to report this week so far, but my chocolate hamper arrived very promptly. My family are already up in arms claiming territory on the different items within. :EasterBun
Weather is... okay. It has been gloriously sunny the last few days, but looks a little dubious this morning. Did discover a beautiful patch of bluebells has sprung up in my garden seemingly overnight.
Luck to all, hope you're having lovely days! :jRestarted comping July 28th, 20190 -

Very sad news re Victoria Wood RIP  So young too -

That's typical C0nfused that the one thing you asked
to be done when your car was being serviced was not
carried out! Ho hum! Obviously lights don't appear to
be top of their 'important to do' lists at all! _pale_
Lol at your dog versus the workmen! Love the way
your mum or your friend "seem to wish to do my
housework whilst they are waiting" (for engineers or
large deliveries). :T:T :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: 'Tis indeed
happy days!
Talking of happy days - Happy Birthday to your

Sprinkle a thick covering of baking soda (the exact same type you use for baking cakes) over all the damp patches of your car. Leave this overnight, and the baking soda will draw out those nasty odours. In the morning, simply vacuum up the baking soda, and you should notice a huge difference in the smell of your car.please be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -

Oh, I love British bluebells Inkling - so pretty!
There are Spanish intruders taking over though!!!
The Spanish bluebell, commonly grown in our gardens, is more vigorous than our native species and can crossbreed with the native to create a fertile hybrid.
This is a problem, as crossbreeding dilutes the unique characteristics of our native bluebell.
In a recent study, conducted by Plantlife volunteers across the UK, one in six broadleaved woodlands surveyed were found to contain
the hybrid or Spanish bluebell.
Noticeable differences between the two are as follows:
Native bluebells
have narrow leaves, usually about 1cm or 1.5cm wide
have deep blue (sometimes white, rarely pink), narrow, tube-like flowers, with the very tips curled right back.
have flowers mostly on one side of the stem only, and distinctly drooping, or nodding, at the top
have a distinct, sweetish scent
inside the flowers, the anthers with the pollen are usually cream.
The British bluebell: :T Our native flower is smaller and more delicate than its Spanish equivalent
Spanish bluebells
have broad leaves often 3cm wide
have paler blue (quite often pink and white ones too), conical or bell-shaped flowers that have spread-out tips.
have flowers all round the upright stem
Inside the flowers, the anthers with the pollen usually blue (although this may vary a little).
The Spanish bluebell: These flowers are paler blue and have a scent that resembles onions  :rotfl:
Source: plantlife.org.uk
British bluebells are being wiped out by the flower's Spanish equivalent and could be completely eradicated within 50 years.
The Spanish bluebells - which smell like onions - were first introduced to our shores hundreds of years ago but recently their numbers have doubled.
They now outnumber homegrown and more fragrant Welsh bluebells and and have been described as 'big thuggish things' by horticulturists, who say garden centres are 'duping' people into buying them.

It's such a shame - love seeing a carpet of bluebells in our
woodlands - awful to think that in the future, it may not
be possible to see them except in books!
It was very dull and threatening rain at home but I am sat in sun on train on the way near you Alfie.
:T It's nearly always sunny here leanfun.:j
'See' you all later.
