Liverpool Street in around 40 mins from Enfield Town Station or 29 mins to Moorgate from Enfield Chase. No idea of commuting costs but going to by earlier comments your £50 per week is unrealistic anyway.0

            What about this? http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-39466356.html
I can say from experience that The Hollies is a very nice place to live, lots of green space and good residents' facilities like swimming pool and tennis courts. More info here. It's within your transport budget, although commute times might be a bit longer than your preference (depending on where in central London you need to get to). No idea about schools really, although I've heard people say that Bexley borough is good for schools.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks

Or maybe Bush Hill Park, which is just a little bit closer in, and where I thoroughly enjoyed living as a child. Plus should be within Latymer School catchment, which is most definitely outstanding...
EDIT: apologies Lioness Twinkletoes, should have looked at your links first, as l can see that you're already in Bush Hill Park territory!0

Tunbridge Wells: http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-52080397.html?premiumA=true Looks like it was once up for more in description, but they've prob dropped. Not to say they won't drop again - first price was obviously unrealistic.
(Don't let people put you off saying it's snobby and lines like 'disgusted from Tunbridge Wells' when people sign off when writing in to newspapers - it has its quirky side and I always found it friendly, welcoming and beautiful. I nearly moved there. Wish I had! Viewed lots of houses. Loved it.)

There are others if you don't need to walk to station.
Sevenoaks is also nice. Nothing up appeals to me at the mo, but you may think otherwise.
Out of everywhere... Tunbridge Wells would get my vote

Season ticket from TW is at least £85 pw though (rail only), and at least £100-ish if you want a London travelcard as well.
I think the OP is probably going to have to flex one or more of their requirements... it's just a question of which one(s).Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks

Yep, you're right, it won't be cheap.
If I were spending that much to move from Beckenham (which I love too ), the natural move is outwards. Not many go back in towards London when making a big move with a list of requirements like theirs. As above, their travel costs are unrealistic - unless they want to go north of the river. Having lived both sides, I know how hard it is to move from one to the other! ), the natural move is outwards. OP - up your travel budget It would definitely be the first compromise on my list. Leave enough in the pot to pay for the first year's travel and any pay-rises will probably cover the difference in what you wanted to spend and what you will be spending the following year.
