Well ended up having a hugely productive day
Managed to get some washing outside for a blow (before the snow shower
Opened loads of windows for some fresh air - lovely
Deep cleaned bathroom
Got the last if paper off lounge and had some mix left - so did hall and landing too
Cleaned loads of skirting and floor on my way round, sort of spring clean and vacuumed downstairs
Friend popped round for a cuppa. Used 2 flavoured tea bags form my recent 'use up box' :rotfl::T
Right off to cook tea, using loads from freezer then spend some quality time with DH tonight.0 -

Morning all
Up early after not much sleep
So far I have:
Fed dogs and hens
Walked dog
Made a cooked breakfast for a treat for DH when he got up (I had some too, but really prefer my porridge)
Must get motivated:
List for today:
Use hot water from kettle stored overnight in thermos to wash up the bits that can't go in the dishwasherDone, more hot water in there now
Make the cake I didn't do yesterday Done, looks great, but haven't tasted yet
Strain my sloe gin Done, put it in bottles, gave OH a little to take his mind off his cold
Cook a curry for supper (from a WW cook book I found in the CS, looks yummy though) It WAS yummy, Weightwatchers chicken Dhansak
Nothing like you would imagine diet food to be, and the (measured) portions were big too!
Housework / decluttering - not sure what / where yet Just hoovered the stairs, and done unending washing up
Get the week's postal survey stuff ready Not done this yet
Any online surveys and check FPL (don't know why I bother with this) One survey for Yougov
If it warms up a bit, get out in the garden for an hourIt didn't warm up, so I stayed in apart from dog walks etc
Wash out and make holes in the tub the mushrooms were in, to sow my tomato seeds - it is a nice deep one) Got as far as washing it...
Another dog walkDone
Determined not to sit around as much today as I did yesterday, as the sun is shining and it actually isn't raining :T
Hope everyone has a good day
Used some of the gin soaked sloes to make some HM liquer chocolates to share, by stoning and cutting up a few, and pouring melted Lidls dark chocolate over them in heart shaped silicone moulds / ice cube trays. My sole concession to Valentines day :rotfl:
My aunt Doris used to serve the leftover sloes with thin cream and home made biscuits as a dessert at the shooting parties that she used to cater for - but as I am less posh and hardcore than she was, I just put the rest of them into the compost :rotfl: The chocs are good though
Also managed another NSD :T
PS if anyone wants to look at the pineapple cake recipe it is at https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/53861300 -
How interesting Dawn
your Aunt sounds a character.

Legomum - your Valentine's day sounds quite similar to mine. :rotfl:
Got home from tutoring via Mr S to find dh and ds firmly glued to Super Sunday football, and I sat and finished crocheting my unicorn. I'm too tired to sew it together tonight (my least favourite bit) so will definitely finish that tomorrow. I'd also been fed at one of my tutees houses (yummy) so gave the rest of the family the choice of food. DS made a chicken, bacon and fries (!) pizza that the 3 of them loved. So romantic eh? :grinheartcrazy_cat_lady wrote: »

Had a busy weekend but flew the DFW flag as much as possible!
Daily imutual,Searchlotto, Inboxpounds and Cashbackearners clicks
Did overtime yesterday to cover another chap so he could have day off; the upshot is I get a day off at the end of the month
Ran the phone on Cash4minutes for several hours both days
Visited my father in law today; did a mystery shop and used a voucher so after all said and done, a meal for three cost me £2.80!
Booked my tickets to see San Francisco Giants vs Milwaukee Brewers in June; advance booking meant tickets were $10 each! Plus I signed up to a loyalty scheme to get $4 off0
