Got to the station (eventually, all the little darlings were being driven to school today), no trains. Got train in from Hatfield instead. Now here and that line also has line damage so getting home is looking 'interesting'. Serves me right for not bringing lap top home last night.
BBC and rail company websites of minimal use just mentioning 'delays' when as far as I can tell trains are not running at all on one of the lines and unclear what is hapeing on the other.I think....0 -
Took the dog for a walk, and she got blown sideways at one point! No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

Three fences in a row came down today. The right hand side of ours, then next door, then their next door neighbours.
Those neighbours door rebuilt their house last year and they have done well as they still had loads of rubbish in their garden (v messy building site) that ended up in trees and other neighbours' gardens. Their fence was makeshift, made of rubbish itself, so no loss to them.
Our trampoline took a walk so we buried it in the shrubs and trees in a corner boundary. It's stayed there.
The builders replacing an entire roof across the road lost everything except the new rafters. They turned up, looked at it and drove off!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Looking at the news I'm seriously concerned for your journey home.

michaels, are you home yet? If you end up on my line I'll be online for a bit longer if you want a lift home. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Thanks for all the concern. I ended up spending an hour on a windswept platform at finsbury park which was the recommended route before giving up as no trains were moving, tube to high barnett but dw was very nervous about driving somewhere unknown in the dark so she went to st albans to see if the trains the website claimed were running actually were and they were so back to kentish town and finally home at 8.45.
Not sure what was the main problem, lack of trains or wrong and misleading info (when the websites weren't down from too much traffic).
I fear both our trampolines are write-offs, I will try and post a photo later.I think....0
