This was Ringo at the last NP meet up in Margate.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -

I first noticed him posting on the housing board and clearly living very near to me, he has moved a few miles away now.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Glad it went well. michaels is in a different town to ringo. You'd definitely need a car if you were working anywhere near ringo - no train line over there!
I don't think ringo has ever joined the NP.Hoping for the best for you, Masomnia.

Hi Ringo - if you come here to find out who's talking about you :hello:Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
... just when you think you've heard it all .... I was looking through old papers and found this, which I'll precis:
Older widow of independent means marries her window cleaner.
He turns out to already be married, so it's a bigamy in court.
In court the marriage license has the widow as aged 25, but she says she's 45 but isn't sure (but looks 60-70).
She was born abroad, her father an Admiral.
She's been married 3x - in different countries. Her first marriage was to her cousin (with the same surname).
In court he said she'd paid him £100/year to be with her.... and he was described as a lothario. She bitterly regretted her decision to marry him at all - he was a drunk.
Blimey.... and that family/name are the ones I'm interested in working out. They were all/mostly captains and admirals, so probably half the people I see in the registers marrying were never born here and won't die here - and those I see born here will then disappear as they go abroad and marry ... I think I'll give up with that lot. They're not blood related0 -
Thanks Pyxis

It looks like DS2 has passed all the checks for renting a flat. Interesting as he is still on probation and the 3 months bank statements he had to supply clearly show that he has only been paid since he started work!
Probably not the sort of probation that first leaps to my mind.....
I thought generally without financial history you were expected to pay the deposit plus the rent for the inital AST period up front - the credit check is to confirm that you have not committed any financial shenanigans inthe past that might make you not suitable to be a tenant even if paying in advance.
Block paving has sand between the blocks so if pressure washign you should probably avoid the gaps. SC you need to get some silver sand and sweep it into the now empty gaps and repeat as it beds down. You should do this before walking on it too much as otherwise the blocks can move/tilt because of the space from the missing sand.
As far as I know I don't live near Ringo, George, John or Paul and do have a train line (in fact 2).I think....0 -

I was expecting that he would need a guarantor, but it seems not.
There is one area with big gaps. I guess that means that the gaps are smaller in other areas, though I can't see where. I have kiln dried sand ready to fling about.
