And it was at least better than just having the cup thrown at me!
Before that he would scream, then we got him to indicate what he wanted (although he took that to mean throw it at you), then to say juice whilst throwing it, then juice please and finally, juice please without throwing the cup.
The process took approx 5 years and during that process when once throwing the cup as I was about to go down the stairs, resulted in a ambulance trip to the hospital and a broken coccyx for me!
You wouldn't believe it of him now, he is the one who will not shut up even when it is 2am in the morning and you are trying to go to sleep....what did I create! :rotfl:We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Just been taken in by someone offering to clean my driveway.
So far he has had 2 coffees and a sandwich. And nearly flooded the house by hosing down the splattered mud off the front door. He didn't realise water would get in underneath! Drive looks ok but I'm regretting it already!I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Aww thanks although I don't think it was any more than any other parent would have done for their child when faced with the situation we had (loss or no therapies available officially)We made it! Maybe, maybe not. Doesn't make it any less of a gargantuan feat.
You've produced intelligent, able children whom some 'experts' had written off, by the sounds of things, and to do that has needed constant, massive effort on your part.
Not every parent would have put that amount of energy into it, repeatedly, over many years, let alone a parent with their own health problems to battle.
So :T, so there!(I just lurve spiders!)

More expert advice needed, please.
Which is more valuable £16.86 in cash paid to my bank account, or 1770 Avios? What can you do with 1770 Avios? Is that enough for a flight somewhere, or just enough to get to the end of the runway? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Are avios the same as air miles?
I've never had anything to do with air miley things, and don't have a clue how they work.
It's a shame you can't build up train miles in the same way. That would be good in the UK.(I just lurve spiders!)
