Maggie Been thinking of you. How are you feeling now?
Was just wondering whether to update yet, so seeing as you asked dear ivyleaf, I will!
Got my bundle from DWP on Saturday. Still need to do some stuff myself, but think I have someone who may come to Tribunal with me from Fightback for Justice. That's their website, they tend to have more info on what they do on Facebook, but not sure who on here uses FB. Will be meeting soon, think I have to sign paperwork for them to send to Tribunal Service.
Sleeping badly, having very weird dreams too - result of the stress I think.
Thank you for your PM ivyleaf - have decided to just go for the lesser thing, not got a date yet, and may yet just chicken out. Just too much horrid stuff going on with the PIP stuff, to have to go through yet more med stuff is rather beyond me at the mo. Consultant has it as urgent, but not the 2 week stuff. I'm desperate to get away for a while to the caravan for a break from everything here, but even there I get the calls from next door if anything sinister looking arrives... I think I might just run away to sea! :rotfl:
Other week my new cheque book arrived, so as usual I took it out of its envelope and ripped the window bit out of the envelope and screwed it up and put it in rubbish bag on overbed table (usually miss bin if I chuck stuff at it so have small bag for small rubbish) and gave the paper part of envelope to OH to put in recycling. Next day couldn't find cheque book, so went through pile of stuff on table. Still no luck, so got OH to go through several piles of papers he had on floor by bed. Still no luck...
About 4 days later I got a letter from bank, enclosing my new cheque book! :rotfl: It arriving earlier was just a dream! And I did make sure the numbers followed on just to be sure. But talk about a *realistic* dream - it really had me convinced! To the extent that both of us went through piles of papers searching for the dream cheque book!:rotfl: At least our bedroom was marginally tidier for a few days! Back to tip again now of course!

Oh bless you Maggie, I know what you mean about too much horrid stuff going on
I hope the DWP side of it gets sorted and that you can get an advocate to come to the Tribunal with you.
A break at the caravan would probably do you good
So funny about the cheque book dream!0 -

Sending hugs to Maggie, and hoping things look up soon:
Also, I too have met Nikkster IRL and yes, she's a lovely person (although terrible at accepting compliments) and definitely a she.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Seems like you've got a fan club! :rotfl: :T
Oh, forgot to ask, are you an Innie or an Outie?
(Herts-wise, that is!)
:j
I'm outer Herts but not by much. Since starting my new job I spend a great deal more time in Inner Herts. Well, passing through on a train.
I'm a mushroom fan, scientist (but not worked full time in a lab for a while) and eat all types of pasta (the pasta-less lasagne was just for fun!). I disn't have any Jewish connections until I joined the NPT. Think that covers the most pertinent questions?0 -
Tea! We never talk about tea! Do you have a favourite tea?
I love Marquess Grey tea from Waitrose. It's like Earl Grey, but with added lemon and orange. It's incredibly fragrant, and I drink it black, without milk.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
I quite like Assam tea as it is very strong and I like tea with milk. I also like black dragon oolong, which is my tea of choice if not drinking with milk. It has a lovely smoky flavour. A couple of the Twinings fruit/herb teas, especially Cranberry and blood orange, and peppermint, are really good. Normally I drink coffee though.
I don't tend to drink tea much, and prefer the above to say PG Tips or Tetleys, which I find a bit weedy. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? The Christie hospital in Manchester has a bell that patients finishing chemo can get photographed ringing as a celebration. I just got emailed a photo of one of my most important and long-established friends ringing it.

Sounds like Lady Grey tea which I think is similar? I'm not really a tea person (only every now and again), but I drink quite a lot of coffee:coffee:
Edit: just thoughto of my favourite tea... afternoon tea!0
