Great news Lydia. Hope it's done the trick for your friend.0

The Christie hospital in Manchester has a bell that patients finishing chemo can get photographed ringing as a celebration. I just got emailed a photo of one of my most important and long-established friends ringing it.

Lovely idea. A friend had her last session last week, I'll enquire if anything special happened.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Lydia, what a lovely way to mark the end of something really quite horrible. I hope that they can now be on the mend from the horrible disease. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Wide awake club... Watched part of a thing called Don't Panic (I think - was still dozing from time to time during that) about population trends. Sounds boring but was really interesting. Then it was Yellowstone Park in Summer. Now it's clothes buying on Channel 4 - The Changing Room.
OH made me a pot of tea, so I'm sipping Yorkshire Tea. The milkman just drove down the road - seems has just the one delivery at bottom of the road. Set off security light of one of the houses as he drove past. Badly adjusted light!0 -

I'm outer Herts but not by much. Since starting my new job I spend a great deal more time in Inner Herts. Well, passing through on a train.
I'm a mushroom fan, scientist (but not worked full time in a lab for a while) and eat all types of pasta (the pasta-less lasagne was just for fun!). I disn't have any Jewish connections until I joined the NPT. Think that covers the most pertinent questions?
Is that in the same universe as chicken-less coq au vin, and rice-free risotto?
Seriously, though, would it be more like a moussaka? I'm intrigued.Tea! We never talk about tea! Do you have a favourite tea?
I love Marquess Grey tea from Waitrose. It's like Earl Grey, but with added lemon and orange. It's incredibly fragrant, and I drink it black, without milk.Sounds like Lady Grey tea which I think is similar? I'm not really a tea person (only every now and again), but I drink quite a lot of coffee:coffee:
I like Earl Grey, love Lady Grey, so will try Marquess Grey.
I drink copious amounts of green tea with lemon. I don't drink milk in tea (or coffee) so I find black tea a bit too harsh. However, I often have Earl Grey if I'm out somewhere, especially if they can serve lemon with it.
I'm not a lover of fruit/herbal infusions. I find the scent is lovely, but the taste doesn't live up to the promise of the scent.
Talking of drinks, I've just stuffed a load of blackberries and blackcurrants into a load of vodka and gin, in the hope that in a year's time, it will all be something delicious!
Past forays into making alcoholic beverages haven't been too successful, so I shan't be too disappointed if it all goes pear-shaped!
I had some medlars this year, too, so I stuffed them into a jar of gin. I might have left them a bit too long, though, before stuffing them, (due to not being well), so God knows what that'll turn out like!
Oh well, just so long as I don't poison myself!
About 30-odd years ago, I got very ill drinking some elderflower wine I made. It tasted horrid, but I drank some anyway!
I think I may have used the wrong sort of elderflowers. There are two types, apparently. One type you can make wine from, and the other you can't. Or something.(I just lurve spiders!)

Just been looking up Marquess and Lady Grey teas.
They both have orange and lemon in, as well as bergamot.
The reviews say that Marquess Grey has a bit more of a kick to it, than Lady Grey, so maybe it's down to the proportion of flavourings.
There's also a Countess Grey tea, that Fortum and Mason sell.
One source said that Lady Grey is only made by Twinings, so it could merely be a brand name thing, with Waitrose and F&M marketing their own 'Lady Grey' tea under a slightly different name.
Now I'm going to have to buy Marquess and Lady and do a taste test!(I just lurve spiders!)

I love Lady Grey tea.
I avoid caffeine so usually have fruit infusions. Or Roobois with bergamot for the Earl Grey feel. You get what you pay for with those. Even Twinings can smell much stronger than it tastes.
Taylors do some lovely ones, Pukka Teas are lovely and even do spicy ones. There's a place in town that serves tissanes that are so strong, I have to water them down.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Where is everyone this evening?Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0
