Right that does it, I'm not taking any risks of dreaming about that lot.
Out with the mousetrap and back to my favourite cheese - http://www.cheese.com/blacksticks-blue/

I expect that to dream of them, you have to watch the soaps first!
    So you're probably quite safe!

    Good point, well made ;)

    It's gorgeous isn't it.
I like Stiltons too, but it can be a bit variable and I don't like it when I bite into it and get a mouthful of ammonia - never had that from Blacksticks Blue.

Just going back to the exam answers, one teacher told me that DS would have to sit his exam again. His answers weren't wrong, they just weren't the right ones the board expected. He still thinks differently to most people.

And just catching up on the week, I'm another touch typist, learnt at college, and years ago when DH was out of work for a few weeks, he took advantage of a free typing course and still finds it useful.

I'll shut up now. Have spent 6 hours clearing out 3 rooms for a refit and need to get clean before a family meal out tonight.

    Have a good evening all.
Spend less now, work less later.

I am eating more cheese now as part of gluten free - I get to that point where I am starving and want a small snack - before it would have been a biscuit, piece of toast or any one of a million nice things, now I stare forlornly at the cupboard and fridge for a few minutes and then have a chunk of cheese (mild cheddar but another non soap watcher). I also eat more crisps than before, I'm not sure this gluten free is a very healthy diet.

Not sure the gluten free is doing me much good compared to the wonders the gp suggested would result although to be fair I have had fewer headaches of late, problem is they have always come i cycles with good spells between plus I have also been taking vitamin b12, another of the GP's suggestions so it may be either of those reasons and I am suffering from gluten free for nothing.

I am about to start a thread on the economics of higher education (more the cost than the funding source) and I suspect NPs may have useful knowledge/opinions.
    I think....

Introduce another meal instead, michaels. When I first went gluten and sugar free, I'd find myself really hungry as I was used to grabbing snacks.

I'd have another small meal instead (soup usually) and that solved it. It wasn't very long until I was back to three meals a day. Breakfast is really, really important. Slow release carbs like oats will stave off hunger for ages.

There's always the gf section in the supermarket. We even have a bit in the local tiny Tesco. Didn't help me much, but if you're only gf then it would be fine.

Re. Gluten-free, there are some fish and chip shops round by me that do gluten-free batter. That would make a filling meal once a week!

Do you find that gluten-free wheat etc. gives you wind and worse?

It seems to have that effect on me, but I'm not sure why.

Problem with the supermarket GF section is that being such a tightwad I can't bring myself to pay 8x as much for bread, pasta etc.

Nairns cheese flavoured oat cakes are pleasant tasting, filling and gluten free.

Cheese triangles are a nice nibble... are they GF?

There's something very satisfying about opening a fridge door ... reaching for a cheese triangle ... and walking away hunting the little red tag end :)

I tried red grapes for the first time recently, they're lovely .... and nibbley.

There is a problem with cheese triangles. They have to be eaten in pairs. One just doesn't satisfy. Then before you know it... the cow is no longer laughing.
