I need to check my tyre pressures too. They may need topping up !
I've had trouble with that one before. It kept going very flat, so
I thought there was a hole. It turned out there wasn't...it was the valve that had become faulty, so it was changed.
It's the same tyre that was the lowest this time, though. Front nearside.

I'm surprised they didn't take it to be repaired, to give it just enough life to last another year.
I can only assume that doing that wouldn't have been as cost effective to them as just giving you a new one.
Funny old world.
On a much more minor scale, when I've complained about an order not being right, they've sent me a replacement and told me to keep the not right one, as it would cost them more to have it sent back. Small things, I mean, not quite up in the new washing machine league!(I just lurve spiders!)

No sign of it here yet - although now the cloud's lifted a bit I can see that Coniston Old Man and the High Street range, 14 and 25 miles away respectively, have had a dusting.
DS said there was a little here when he was walking home from school at 3:45ish. I didn't see any, but don't know if that was because his school's 3 miles away from mine or because I was teaching a lesson at 3:45 and not looking out of the window.DS2's school abandoned appointments at one point. It improved the system.
Instead of certain individual parents discussing their child in detail for far too long, in the knowledge that at their next appointment they would go to the front of the queue as their time was bound to be ahead of the other parents waiting, they would speed up as they would have to queue with everyone else for all subsequent appointments.
I'm the parent that thinks if you can't fit in everything you need to discuss with each teacher in 5 minutes, you really need to make an appointment outside of parent's evening.I'm always the parent waiting behind the parent who wants to talk and talk and talk but when it finally comes to my turn, I am in and out of the chair in 2 minutes flat!
Had it at the last one, the ones before us just kept talking, going way over the time and keeping me and the last one to go waiting. Turns out that they had finally realised that their child was in their final year and had no plans and decided that was the time to ask the college and tutors what the next step should be.
Me and Joe get in and I barely had time to settle my ample bottom before we had finished as apart from congratulations and good luck at university they had nothing else to say as he had perfect grades, perfect time keeping and a very high standard of work (which to be honest was a rather weird and surreal place for me to be, only took 3 children, 18 years and countless consultation evenings to finally get a perfect one!).
We come out and go to speak to his PPT and find the same ones we were waiting for before...they were turning off the lights around the building before we got our chance to have a very brief discussion with him about a couple of points in Joe's personal statement.
Well done Sue and Joe! :T
I loved it at that school with the hand bell at parents' meetings. Not only did I not end up waiting around for ages after I was supposed to be finished, waiting for the parents who've missed their appointments either to turn up to see me or leave and sign out, but when I had a gap between appointments I could use it to get a drink or something instead of feeling I had to be chained to my table.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

Inch of slushy snow here, due to freeze solid over night
Same here. With more snow expected (very) early morning.
Followed by rain, hopefully enough to wash away the snow before the cooler night causes it to freeze over.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Oh gawd I hope I can get to this interview tomorrow!
I'm going to make sure I have the woman's number in my phone in case I can't get through. It's a bit out of the way so I suppose if I can't get there she won't be able to either!“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -
No snow here. It got a bit cold, but no snow.
Current local temperature, from a weather website, says it's 3 now and will go down to -2 overnight.0 -

I was just thinking of you and hoping you wouldn't have any problems tomorrow. Fingers crossed the travel is fine and you do your best at the interview!
I gather from Mum that Inner Herts has had a dusting of snow. Oop north we're fine here so far though it might be a bit slippy on the way to work tomorrow.0 -
Loads of snow here and it took me twice as long to get home. Some workmates had to abandon their cars and some only just got home after being stuck for hours. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0

Some snow here but nothing bad, our major problem right now is the prospect of flooding!
Had a panic phone call from mum, they have had their emergency call from the environment agency telling them to move stuff upstairs and be prepared to evacuate...the joys of living near the beach. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Thanks again all. Feeling ok about tomorrow, there really isn't much more I could have done.
I'm just doing that thing where you stay up because when you go to sleep it means you have to wake up to go to the interview. Not good! Bed in 5 mins...“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0
