Thanks, probably just us being paranoid but where a minor is involved best to follow the letter of law.I think....0

In 2 months time our washing machine will be 6 years old.
We paid about 300 and it came with a 6 'free' year warranty.
It has just started making a lot of noise on the spin, worn bearings.
Panasonic are going to give us a brand new machine currently retailling at 519, more like 600 including delivery, installation and disposal of old machine.
I call that a result.I think....0 -
I can't imagine...
There just doesn't seem to be any good news at the moment. Most dispiriting. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
I can't imagine ...I guess ...
Can I make a suggestion that these posts are deleted, as they enable the defendant to be identified by virtue of relationship to the named victim? Reporting restrictions apply prohibiting any partial or other identification of the defendant, and it would be best to follow the letter of the law as mentioned earlier in the thread by michaels.0 -
In other news, I decided to walk today. It was interesting, even on foot. Very glad I wasn't trying to cycle in it!!
Just waiting to see if we get snow later in the week. We have an appointment to show some vacant allotment plots to prospective tenants on Friday. It may be rather interesting ... "Well, Miss Smith, there's a plot under this layer of snow, you can't see the weeds or the condition of it, but I can assure you that you'll enjoy yourself anyway...!"
Mind you, last time I tried to show someone round vacant plots in the snow, I did a 'Dawn French' as one leg went down into a small pond that was hidden underneath the light layer of snow. Hilarious!!0 -
True, but that whole thread might then get pulled, rather than individual posts. Would be horrid if this whole thread disappeared for the sake of two or three posts.
It does rather beg the question of how effective is a news blackout anyway!
Reminds me of a certain super-injunction fiasco a while back.
You can stop the press publishing stuff, but you can't stop Faceache going supernova with info, and even if it is pulled later, once seen, you can't unsee it and all that.(I just lurve spiders!)

I think the problem with that particular story is that the news was, released early by one of the major news channels. Not intentionally I think... someone blurted it live on air. That's how I know, rather than fb or Twitter.
At that stage, the victim ID was not known, so it's a bit like doing a logic puzzle... suddenly you get more of a picture than was intended.
I wonder if in the future sensitive stories will be broadcast with a delay, so that any key info could be cut or bleeped.
I've been careful in this post not to talk about the specific story, but will probably delete this too at the end of the day for completeness. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

At the beginning of the week I got a snow alert for today. Then subsequent alerts have said tomorrow.
No snow here at the mo.
Interesting that some flights for tomorrow are already being cancelled/delayed in anticipation. (Heard on news this morning).(I just lurve spiders!)

My snow forecast has been delayed too - was this morning with fairly good confidence, now this afternoon with less confidence.
Which probably means six feet of the stuff by lunchtime0
