Hello all. Got a job interview tomorrow
It's in Inner Herts; can't seem to keep away.
It's exactly the kind of job that I would have wanted to go for in 2 - 3 years time after broadening my experience a bit. I think I'll be a bit out of my depth, but they've got my CV and they wouldn't have asked me for an interview if they didn't think there was something there that they were looking for.
If I'm honest, 6 months ago I'd have said that this would be the dream opportunity, but now that I'm here I just can't seem to get enthused about it. I don't know if it's just that I don't want to get my hopes up, or that I'm just feeling a bit down and under-confident at the moment.
I think right now I just need to get some temporary work and then have a think about what to do.
Good luck Masomnia!💙💛 💔0 -

Good luck Mas!
You may have applied in hope, but they have asked you in so must see something there.
You have nothing to lose and everything to gain... even worst case scenario it's valuable experience for getting the job you ultimately want.
Leave a bit of extra time to get there in case there is a knock on effect from the tube strikes on the road or rail traffic.
Sending positive vibes. Good luck Mas...as I always say to my boys, remember to believe in yourself! We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Bit late, but Good Luck Mas! Will be thinking of you and hoping you're not too nervous!0

I have been with first-utility an other small suppliers and never had any issues. I believe the worst supplier for problems is the very big nPower.
We've been with Npower on and off, but mostly on, for years and haven't really had any problems of note - the odd direct debit spike if we forgot to submit readings - quickly reversed and credited though once we called them in.
We have occasionally switched to someone else but then back again as Npower have most often been cheaper at the next comparison site trawl.
We do use a lot of power.... I have no idea if some company tariff structures are better for those who do.... maybe that's why Npower flags as cheapest for us most of the time?“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

Thanks all! It's cost me £30 in trains and taxis (no other way!) But I'm here ~an hour early. I'd probably have to move house and would definitely have to buy a car, and I really don't know if I want all that faff. Beggars can't be choosers though!“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0
