That letter sequence is a really good method for shelving multiple books by author. Take a four shelfctrolley, subdivide into the four groups then put in order properly. Much quicker than putting things straight into alphabetical order.

What I struggle with, with books, is reading titles.

If you're in a shop/library looking for a specific book or author it's probably fine and you can find what you're after.... if you're in a charity shop though it's entirely random - and you have to bend over at a 90 degree angle and shuffle along to read every spine.... then you look daft, get in the way and end up feeling giddy when you straighten.

    Nosmo King.
Many years ago I had a bf whose grandfather was in the Hospital. Some lung problem from WW1 and/or mines or something...

We were with his gran I think and parked the car, got out, and I saw a sign. It was in Sheffield, and that's "all furren" to me. The sign said PEDES RIANS

I asked what they were... thinking it was some "oop North" term.

    :)

Alexa is a work in progress. Very limited in what it does well. I use it to listen to music and as a timer. Apparently, you can link it up to the lights at great expense. It's not a patch on Siri or Ok Google for getting things done.

It will read the weather forecast and the news headlines.

You can link it to your calendar, if you use the right one, which I don't.

I turned on Siri for the first time a couple of weeks ago. :rotfl:

Some of his answers are hilarious, although like a lot of guys, he's not too good on discussing emotional matters! :rotfl:
However, I reckon he could be my bestest friend! ;)

    I'd still like a Synth, though! :)

Yes, but it's understandable when you look at some web addresses. My mind seems to default to a strange interpretation of what the rolled-together words are saying.

Even some usernames have a completely different 'look' to me than what they should be! Sometimes it's ages before it dawns on me what they're supposed to be! :rotfl:

It's even worse if some rotten so-and-so has put some of them in upside down.

    Paul Merton, the comedian.
Because his birth name had already been taken he took the name of the area in which he grew up.
