I actually had part of my honeymoon up north...it should have been Tunisia but now ex hubby chickened out of having his jabs done and then cancelled the honeymoon because we then couldn't go (without me knowing about it). Unfortunately, he cancelled it so late that we couldn't get any money back so we had to rely on an offer of a place to stay with the chief bridesmaid and her family (just outside of Manchester).
A haulier that ex hubby dealt with then treated us to free transport over to Belgium as drivers mates (two seperate lorries) and a cheapo 3 day hotel stay whilst there.
I was not impressed about what he did but we still had fun....the cabins are huge (or were, no idea about now), in the driver area of the ships.
I have absolutely no idea why he became an ex:rotfl:There's a thought! Could I enhance my credibility by changing Doglet's name to Tyson?

Mr Bugs met his previous wife after she had broken down at the side of the road.
He didn't realise she was a woman to start with; he stopped because it was an unwritten law in the 70s that if you saw a fellow Middle East driver ( I mean Doha/Oman/Iran not Derbyshire;) ) , you stopped.
He didn't realise it was a she because she had her head under the bonnet fixing the problem.
Like to see the man that would mess with her:eek::D
SO she had her head under the bonnet and he was unsure that she was a woman, how did he know that she was middle eastern?I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Sorry silvercar, badly written post for non truck people. She had her head under the bonnet of a truck, one of the 70s Middle East hauliers, Mr Bugs would have recognised the livery. And she's English.0 -
BBC1 just started. Shop Well for Less. Hertfordshire couple.
They're being followed in the big shopping centre - they're supposed to be out to buy him a watch for his birthday.
But now they're looking at trainers - and now trying them on. "It's a bargain" he just said as there's 20% off.
Ah, they found a watch and bought it.
Now in a perfume shop, "this is one I haven't got" he said as if to justify it. Spent £155 there I think.
Now they're in a clothes shop - daughter of 13 on the loose. He's escaping next door, looking at clothes - and he just spent £130 for a pair of jeans. Daughter got a bag and clothes.
The presenters jumped out and stopped them shopping and had a quick tot up. Perfume, after shave, jeans, coat, bag, leggings, jumper, trainers, watch. Total spend was £585.93 - and this was a typical day out shopping.
Then they went through their house/shed to see what they already own. They've taken them all and stocked a shop with their goods to show them what they have.
They buy and forget they've already got them. He has 3 drills! Drill bits, drill bits, drill bits, drill bits. Three door entry systems.
Tools £2500; Shoes £3000; Wife's dresses £3130; His clothes £4400, jeans alone £640. Cleaning products £80. Perfumes/after shave £1000. Gadgets £8000 (4x the national average).0 -

I've always fancied having a little cute dog called Tyson or something like that. I had a LL when at uni with a really nasty rotty called Sophie. Far out. That thing would have your leg off as soon as look at you. I hated that dog.
The Boy was up until 11:30 last night talking over the High School decision with me. Poor kid, he's so bad at making decisions. He's made the right one here but he really can't see it.0 -

I refused to let DS2 go to his choice of secondary school. He didn't forgive me for about 2 years. He has later admitted I was right.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
