Some are suggesting that the nectar points used for double up are not getting removed immediately from accounts but instead could be used for other purchases effectively allowing you to run up a large nectar points overdraft. I wonder if you then binned your card how they would try and pursue you for the 'debt'?!
    I think....

My memory may be playing tricks on me but I seem to recall that happened in an (original) Star Trek episode there they arrived at a planet of suspiciously human-looking people who were left in a primitive state where the Klingons had invaded and left with all their nectar points.

I appear to have missed that one.

Have you got it on tape?

I cracked - and turned the heating on.
    :)

I've been "a bit cold" since yesterday afternoon. Eating a WHOLE can of creamed rice mid evening didn't really help.

It's doable, I could wrap up warmer ... but I decided I'm worth it, so put the thermostat up to 16 degrees and it's kicked in :)

    Good.

Don't forget that when the body is trying to keep warm, one's resistance to bugs can diminish.
If you then fall ill, you'll need the heating on higher and for longer, so it's a false economy to be cold.

Ah ... but bugs are what you get if you leave the house :)

Although I suppose I do mingle with the great unwashed every time I go out to buy a pie.

Did you go into your town to see the lights switch-on yesterday?

As I've only just moved into my new house, I've found out the solar panels have been running my meter backwards for the last six months,so I need to use up a few hundred quids worth of lecy. Running some convector heaters isn't doing the job, apart from heating my house to the same temperature I'll be in when I go to India next month.I reckon the only way I can use it up is by turning my loft into a cannabis factory.:rotfl:

Don't the leccy company pay you for the surplus, then?
