Does anybody have one of those cameras in your car for recording incidents?
And is it better to have two, one looking forward and one looking backwards?
    Are they a good idea?

And are they expensive to get installed?

My husband has one. It required little installation for his model and he did it himself.

He says that not all models are equal... his, for example has a night time recording mode, which he considers vital for short winter days. And he chose one that was easy to install. He is also pondering the rear facing question.

    So had I..........:p

Might be an idea to ask on the motoring board Pyxis. I think installation is a doddle.

I always forget there are places other than here and the Arms on this Forum! :rotfl::rotfl:

I'm not sure I believe the easy to install statements, though! :D

Trains still broken so am working locally but may still be the same tomorrow when I have a meeting in London so can't give it the swerve :(

    The options are:

    a) just don't.
    b) leave very early. Trains are very full and only every half hour, you will be lucky to get on as all trains are all station and start at Bedford.
    c) Drive to Stanmore or Edgware and get the tube. Allow an extra 45 minutes for your drive.
    d) drive over to Hatfield and catch the train from there.

You may be able to substitute somewhere further north for Hatfield.

Or drive to Hemel or Watford. If trains are bad on your line, then hopefully they'll have the reciprocal ticket thing. When are they due to be back to normal?

A few photos for you all. :)

This is from yesterday, when there was a beautiful moth sitting on the outside of our bedroom window. Photo doesn't do it justice, but best could get.

OH bought me some freesias a few days ago. :j They've opened up a lot more since then, and smell absolutely wonderful! :) While they are pretty, it's their perfume that makes me love them so much - my favourite cut flowers. OH can't smell them at all - which is why I always think it's extra kind of him to give them to me. It's genetically controlled if you can smell them or not. It's just a single compound that gives them that divine perfume.

Meanwhile we've had a mixed day weather-wise. Rain, sun, sleet! But I caught a pic just towards the end of the day, very monochromatic. Can see much more of the River now the leaves are mostly down!

See that piece of string...how long is it?

For some reason they start all trains at Bedford so they are all full by the time they reach here. Still I guess any np who live north of here can wave at me on The platform....
    I think....

Thanks all for the advice about DW's phone. It dried out nicely in a jar of rice, and it's working well. :)

I can remember when they electrified that line in the 80s and all the houses shot up in price. If only I'd had the money!:)

Had a letter to say next door's to be demolished - and this morning there's a bunch of house clearance people there ripping the insides out.
