New dog arrived and it's:smileyhea all round. Well maybe not instant love from the other dogs, she's large and bouncy, with paws the size of dinnerplates. There's no malice, she has no concept of relative size. She's 16 weeks, called Lola as in the film, Run Lola, Run. Of course, everyone else thinks of Barry....

    Or The Kinks!

Love the photo across the bay. Sorry to hear you are not so well and good luck with colonography or whatever it is.

That's exactly how I feel, the analogy made me smile.

Dinnerplates at 16 weeks? How big will they be when she's fully grown?

    Found this!

A giant Schnautzer Paw Plunger, for cleaning/rinsing the dog's paws!

(Just so long as you don't confuse it with your mug of tea! :rotfl: )

Good reviews. And if the dog comes back answering to the name of Gangsta, we'll cope.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Is it only London where really rough areas are right next door to quite pleasant ones? It's almost like there is an invisible barrier which prevents the two groups colliding.

No. I work in Salford and have done for 20+ years. Across the main road from me is Ordsall, which at one point was worse than Moss Side, still not the most appealing of places, ahem. Behind me is the Quays, with the Lowry Theatre, the BBC and some very expensive flats. The two worlds. old and new Salford definitely do not collide!
