I have 2 grown up kids, more than happy for you to buy property in their name ;)

TBH I had already wondered whether it was you who had bought it ;)

Lydia, have you switched your gas, electricity supply, and PV FIT contract all to Sainsbury's, or just gas / standard electricity?

For some reason your FIT always stays with the company that was your supplier when the panels were installed regardless of how many times you then switch your supply. If doesn't make any odds as the rate paid out is fixed and they do not offset it against your bill but then it is tax free so no benefit from that anyway.
    I think....

    Thanks, Michaels, really helpful.

I'll ring Mum tomorrow and let her know ... I've been trying to get her to contact EDF (elec supply / FIT company) for months now to resolve this, and she just hasn't done it.

Neither, all perfectly true! M&S sell them!

Have you managed to use the translation into Montenegran (or Serbian) yet? If so, was it well received or not?!

Yes I have! And yes it was!

In the end, I asked the tour manager guy, who is native, to translate it for me, so as to ensure it was Montenegrin, and then I said it to the caretaker lady of the Music School where we were singing. (Did I mention it's a singing holiday? Can't remember).

Anyway, not sure if I explained this before, but what it was, was this, see..........on another thread, we've got this challenge. Every time we go abroad, we have to say, in the native language, to a native, " I am not a turtle".
    So far, I have a 100% success record. :)

There have been a few bemused natives, especially if I haven't been able to explain why I am saying it, due to not speaking the lingo. On this occasion, the lady understood Italian, so I was able to explain to her why I had just told her that I was not a turtle.
If she hadn't thought the English were mad before, she probably does now. :D

M&S crisps - I can see a trip there tomorrow lunchtime, if only so that we can say we have breached the rule against consuming alcohol on work premises!!

Just the gas/electricity I'm receiving, not the PV.

What michaels said. I believe you can change who pays you your FiT, although I can't see any reason why you should want to, so I've never tried. Mine has been with BG throughout.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

So, either you walk 1/4 mile to your car, or the kids walk probably rather further for a place to play footie. Especially if they are 6 year olds, surely you should do the walking?

You are stuck with the bourgeois, capitalist idea that you own the land, whilst I am inviting you to think of a solution that maximises happiness.

It won't maximise PNs happiness! I try to follow a rule that says my life should not impact anyone else's detrimentally - the parents of the children are falling foul of that! If I had children, would I allow them to annoy my neighbours - no, I wouldn't.

PN, you could try playing Max Bygraves type CDs in your garden - that should have them running away:p

    You need hands...........
    To spank the little blighters,
    You need hands..............
To push them off a cliff,
    When you feel
    The parent role is lacking,
    You need hands........
To give them all a biff.

    When you hold..........
    A brand new baby,
    You need hands ......
To show it that you care,
    But when it grows
    Into a bl**dy nuisance,
    You need hands........
To shove it down the stair.
