Talking of robots, have just seen in the Radio Times that there's a remake of Westworld coming to the TV in October, with Anthony Hopkins and Thandie Newton.

Having seen the original Yul Brynner film when it came out in the 70s, I thought, Yey! :T :)

Then I saw it would be on Sky Atlantic. :(
    I don't have Sky.
    Pants.

On the other hand, if you'd like a nice relaxing bus ride through the Yorkshire Dales, watch All Aboard the Country Bus, 9pm Monday, BBC4.
It's filmed in real time, so it's like being on the bus.
It's one of their slow TV progs.

Sticking to England .... that furren stuff would only be confusing .... it is a lot easier as more's online/easily found.
    .

One of these days, Pastures, you're going to find you have a 'funny little furrin' relative in your tree! :rotfl:

Actually, didn't you say you had Huguenots? Aha! Pastures is furrin! :rotfl: ;)

Very probably - considering that the US defense systems have gone into full alert a few times because of such mundane things as - the moon rising ;)

"Nobody that left me anything". The thing is, many people that end up on the lists have something about them that meant they were unknown to the remaining family.

Hmm, perhaps I should have a spreadbet for the NP, will I be the recipient of £10.00 0r £10,000.00. Place your bets, ladies and gents!

My Dad had two brothers, both of which had more than one child, my mum had three sisters both of which had more than one child - I'd really struggle to imagine that there wasn't a closer connection than me around. I'd like to entertain the notion that I performed some fabulous good deed ( the details lost in the litany of fabulous good deeds I perform:p ), and it was rewarded. Pfft!:D

@Pyxis - a friend works for Big Pharma and recently completed some future learn course in relation to her work. Forget what the course was now, not directly related to what she does, more done for personal satisfaction. She found it useful and enjoyable.
  • Well Rachel had her bone scan this week and now they have to do a MRI as they found something in her left leg that was a shock she said but this evening she feels its just another storm in a teacup...when has there been that storm in a teacup...guess her uplifting nature is uplifting as usual....wish I could be the same too...BW Dianne

OH was approached by an heir hunter in the last year. It came to nothing as a closer relative made a claim on the estate. His deceased relative was an unmarried elderly cousin in Wales. Oh had known him as a child. OH told the heir hunters that the cousin had a brother who pre deceased him, but whom had at least one estranged child. the estranged child was the final claimant.

The Huguenots are not my tree.

I am "quarter furrin".... a frog, no less :)
    Paternal GM was a froggie.

Aunty's done all that lot - all done in French. I'd have never done that tree in a million years as it's "all furrin... with their little furrin ways".

I'm related to the Knights Templar and some French royalty or something.

All furrin ... so not overly interested in them as I couldn't do any research/reading about furrin people in their funny furrin languages :)

He should've charged them a %age of their fee :)
Saved them hundreds in "proper research" just for the staff time.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: you really crack me up, PN; you're so non-PC! :rotfl::rotfl:

Edit. If you're related to the Knights Templar, I see where you get it from! :rotfl: :rotfl:
