Buying tyres takes a while, you have to search on line, see who does price march, often look on amazon and then find local fitting prices for price matchng, look out for voucher codes and cash back etc. etc.
    I think....

We are buying a new greenhouse. Found what we want. Can buy online, one option is to buy through tesco and get 1000 club card points (dd has a club card), the other is to buy for the same price from a specialist site.

So supershoppers where should I buy it?

Have you checked for cashback? Have you checked if it is available via ebay outlet or amazon? Did you check for voucher codes?

Less than 1000 days to go until mortgage free. Woohoo!

Why not expect 100% if you are performing and contributing as expected?

It sounds like shareholder risk, only wth the opportunity to participate fully in losses but not fully in gains.

    Ask my boss!

I guess it's meant to give an incentive to go above and beyond. My team is one of only two that have a direct impact on the investment results of our clients and thus on the profitability of the firm. Yes, other teams will have a minor impact but the received wisdom in the industry is that money follows performance.

My performance is strongly linked to client outcomes thus my boss feels that this is the best way to get great outcomes for clients.

    Can't beat costco on price.

Car did its usual annual magic trick again today, it went straight through yet another MoT without event. Well, it did need one wiper rubber, not part of the MoT, but just part of them noticing it and asking if I want it replacing - and I've got an advisory on two tyre treads, but they advised on those in 2015 and 2014 ... and, having spoken to the man about how long they've got left they'll probably just scrape through next year too if I were to push it that far.

I expect I'll shuffle into a tyre depot at some point in the next 3-4 months and get them swapped.

Kids' car also did the same. This year service and MOT for £109 at kwikfit (with cashback from quidco). Last year it went to the toyoto dealer because it had some problems, paid almost twice that for less. This year the MOT certificate came up clean, last year had 3 advisories for things we didn't fix!

I'll get the sizes at some point, then leave it in your capable hands to give me the heads up when a good price occurs and the list of hoops that need to be jumped through :)

Our local discount tyre merchant says "if you are buying Michelin, we don't even try to compete with Costco, we can't." They are very competitive on anything else.

Probably worth a hundred quid to avoid life changing injuries IMHO. It seems worth involving michaels in any purchasing decision though. I expect you'll end up with 4 new tyres and the CEO of Kwik Fit popping over to hand you a grand in cash plus a trillion Tesco points and a chocolate bar.

    Congrats to viva :)

I am sticking with the main dealers because it's got a particular type of (awkward) turbo on it and if the oil change is skimped at all during the service then it could blow the whole engine. I'd rather fight that battle with a clear line of servicing back to the dealers than trying to save a few bob here and there. It'd be just my luck if I tried to save £30 that they let the Saturday boy loose with it and he farqued up by cutting a corner.

We stick with the main dealers for our cars, but this is the kids car and older and more basic.
