I'm guessing your neighbours are a male couple from the music (nothing at all wrong with that obviously).

It's become a bit of a battle of wits - which I am determined not to lose
A greenfinch has just visited and eventually worked out how to get to the seeds, that's about the largest species that I anticipate visiting and being welcome. I've currently got about eight goldfinches bickering away over whose turn it is
The starlings have been coming in but eventually giving up . It's been quite amusing watching them try though. Occasionally one lands on the windowsill instead and all I can see is its head - beak apart it's very reminiscent of some of the velociraptor scenes in Jurassic park
For some reason the birdfeeders at home are not popular, maybe too much choice around, but at work, we have a lovely selection of finches and tits turning up. I had the same problem with pigeons who are surprisingly inventive - I've solved them getting to the feeders, but they all hang around waiting for spare seeds dropping when the finches are around. Very irritating.0 -

Hehe, the finches sure are messy eaters - grabbing a seed and just crunching it, ignoring what falls off. Sparrows are similar.
The blue tits are far more refined, they take a seed and hold it on the perch with their feet while they peck at it. Don't know about the great tits, they seem to come in, grab a seed and take it away to eat.0 -
