Sorry, we've got the sun up here.
It was raining this morning but it's perked up nicely now, hardly any clouds and a pleasant breeze.0 -
It's been raining on/off for most of today here.
I've not actually left Inner Herts at all, except for a 5 minute detour to change a lightbulb about 2 miles from the Outer Herts border💙💛 💔0 -
POSH ALERT
If you were being taken to the opera for the first time in your life, what would you want the experience to be like? Is there anything you'd like to have happen or not happen?
I'm thinking of taking Mrs Generali to see Carmen for her birthday.
What a lovely thing to do.
The libretto beforehand, to understand the plot and characters.
Possibly surtitles, (again to help understanding)
A conventional production rather than one in a contemporary/innovative setting
An opera with at least one well known aria. Recognising some of the music helps make it feel like you belong there.
Not too long/too dark/German
An iconic destination -SOH?
bubbles to drink- prosecco if italian opera
supper at venue or simple picnic if possible before or in interval- prosciutto olives artichokes salami cheese bread
If you need anyone to carry the bags I will make myself available0 -

She gets the difference between not lying, and being completely truthful though (and knows I view them as the same thing). Person I'm annoyed with doesn't.💙💛 💔0 -

Electric trains don't go 'choo choo' any more. Now they go 'masticate masticate' as they rattle along.
Okay, it's not very funny, but it's a joke shaped object, and it's not overly long. And it's clean. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
