On the topic of ex-posh.... Or MSE Posh-a-like anyway.

Just checked my Avios and hotel loyalty points.

Been travelling so much for work the last 18 months figured it might have added up by now.

    Very pleasantly surprised.

Reckon by the end of this year I'll have enough for round the world flights for two people and close to a couple months worth of hotels - so long as I did it all in low-season and stayed in the cheaper parts of the world longer than the dearer parts.

Every cloud! See you for an ale or two when your tickets bring you this way I hope.

Do you have a pool/ice rink at MCTAVISH towers?

I heard something. Twozerdog has just made himself a bed in my half unpacked cabin suitcase.

It appears that he would fit the Ryanair stipulations for hand luggage.

I have no energy to fight him.

Pastures, is there an 'ex-Posh' category?

There might've been ... but then he tossed in "John Lewis" in an everyday manner, so that trumps it.

I lived in Australia as a kid and we had a pool. I do not believe that this constitutes a posh alert as we also had an outside toilet that you'd avoid using at night due to the sheer quantity of spiders.

Ooh! The Posh ante's been upped! :D
Don't forget the dedicated home cinema room! :D:D (Complete with fluorescent popcorn dispenser! :D)

Actually, though, thinking about it, a pool that could be converted into an ice rink in the winter would be good!
Instead of a cover, you could have a rigid platform that slides out over the drained pool, a few inches below where the water surface would be. Then you cover that with a few inches of water and reverse the polarity on the pool heating system so that it freezes.
Voilà! Instant pool/ice rink conversion! :)

You saw it here first, folks!

I'm another who tries to pretend the back garden doesn't exist because it is so bad....130ft of bad.

Hehe - I guess the main reason I'm mucking about with mine is that I've never had a garden before, so there's a heck of a novelty factor ;)

But - will it last? Time will tell.

Travelling on Tuesday or Wednesday is now cheaper in Avios terms.

I would feel safer if the pool was full.

Feeling deprived, never had a pool or a lake or even a pond.

I do however have a back garden. Though my role in its upkeep is supervisory.

Gutted. I blame Brexit probably. Or those pesky Bremainiacs.:p

I went for a really nice walk in the winter sun and took a snap on my way round

It's the Botanical Gardens in Sydney and just round to the left where you can't see is Mrs Macquarie's chair. I'm trying to go for a stroll there twice a week, about 4-5kms (2.5-3 miles) each time. It's lovely.

It's the long weekend for the Queen's Birthday here. It's the only one of the public holidays where nothing really happens, you just get a day off which is nice. Mrs Generali is heading up to Newcastle tomorrow with The Girl and I'm struggling to find anything to do with The Boy.

Scrap that, I'm struggling to do anything with The Boy that The Boy wants to do. I think I might have a game of Lazer Tag in my future (what is it about the C21st that everyone has access to an instant dictionary but nobody can spell **sighs**).
