I get a postal vote as disabled so can't make it to the polling booth. Though recent years it's been in the local pub... The Victoria... presumably because it's on Victoria Road. But it's much more interesting than it appears! It used to be called The Aigburth Arms, and it was where Lister in Red Dwarf was found as a baby in a cardboard box under the pool table!

Anyway, I voted already. OH will visit the Eggy Arms on referendum day. I'll have to ask him if there's still a pool table there... Though I guess it might change a lot between now and the 22nd Century, so presence or absence of pool table there now isn't important. ;)

    I've got my voting card.

Craig Charles lived near me in South London and we used to frequent the same Indian restaurant (not that we were spoilt for choice). Just googled it and it's no more! :(

I wonder if they have also have a family line of black cats? ;)

I had a card for the voting of the police commissioner ... but nothing since.

    I'm sure it'll come.
Anyway, Pastures, you don't actually need the card. They have that list and you only have to tell them your name and address.

Which reminds me. I don't know why they call it a secret ballot, when the number on your ballot paper is referenced to your name on that list. :(
An unscrupulous regime could easily determine who had voted for the other parties. :(

Just thought though, if your card has gone astray, someone else could use it in your place. Given that several on here have had their cards for a while, it might be worth you enquiring?

Yeah, well those water towers dotted all over the place are generally pretty tall - leading to a decent water head.

I prefer Billiards or Snookers myself - far more gentlemanly games :rotfl:

I hasten to add that I'm not posh enough to have room for them either ;)
