    Great news Maggie.

Feeling a bit sore now, after walking.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I'm the same ... the sofa really needs to be closer to the fridge.

    Nice news Maggie.

No island in our kitchen, we are a bit short on cupboards so worktops have kitchenalia on them. Looks a bit cluttered but not carp clutter.

Kitchen and dining tables kept free of clutter. We all eat at them if in the house at meal times, so it is in no ones's interest to turn them into rubbish dumps.

DD has booked a tabe and hanging rail at an indoor car boot salenext weekend, only she and I are now going to Dublin. Her bf has "volunteered" to man the stall. I am sending along some clutter. I have never even been to a car boot sale. A friend came round yesterday and wanted to edit the clutter, taking out stuff she thought would sell on ebay. I had to tell her I cba I just want rid, although when she looked up what said stuff sold for I almost wavered. When did making money from your rubbish become the norm? I have tried it once and it was a disaster (lost money on postage) although we have successfully sold our old cars through it.

The instructions I now have is to label with the make of the item (and size if clothes) but not to assign a price, but to have a dialogue with the interested potential buyer. Except I will not be the one doing the selling (the bf will). What would NP do?

    ... car boot ... ebay...

One size doesn't fit all .... it really all depends on the individual location, exactly what you're selling, what the weather's like outside etc. But, in the main, at car boots people expect things to be dirt cheap. If priced wrongly you can stand all day doing nothing and then bringing it home again.

People DO like to see some price. Many people don't like to ask. It's better to have, say, 2-3 price points and "everything here £X".

Ebay's hit and miss too .....

It's all a faff, time and a gamble really which one will work best this month, for those items, at your desired price.

I think the bf's got the shortest straw EVER.

That's the trouble you see.... the only time they're getting any use is when people do annoying things. :)

LOL. But it's less annoying than if the boys were constantly fighting over who goes out first! At least with the wide opening they can both charge in and out together! :rotfl:

    Let's have a look:

I've started at 2009 as IMO that's when Eurovision turned the corner. With the exception of the wishy washy Azerbaijani winner, the songs winning since then have been proper European songs. A lot of people (not including popfemale dog, which is mostly on the money) still think of Eurovision, our place in it, and what is needed to win prior to that, they are imo mistaken. Hopefully CK will back me up on this.

    2009 - Fairytale, Alexander Rybak, Norway, 104bpm, D minor
    2010 - Satellite, Lena, Germany, 190bpm, B minor
2011 - Running Scared, Ell and Nikki, Azerbaijan, 86bpm, C major
    2012 - Euphoria, Loreen, Sweden, 133bpm, A major
2013 - Only Teardrops, Emmilie deForest, Denmark, 111bpm, A minor
    2014 - Rise Like a Phoenix, Conchita Wurst, Austria, 82bpm, D minor
    2015 - Heroes, Mans Zemmerlow, Sweden, 124bpm, A minor

CK does back you up on this :)

From this, it would appear that you stand a better chance of winning if you come from German speaking or Scandinavian Europe and perform a song in a minor key. We did have a song in D minor in the contest last night. It was not selected... we may come to rue this decision, apparently the one we did select is, erm, 128bpm.

It's also important to remember that in the 2000s, it was mainly the ex-Soviet states (Ukraine, Estonia, Russia) that won. Azerbaijan winning was at best heavily influenced, although how far the corruption goes I'm no longer aware.

I haven't seen any of the entries yet (I've spent the last 2 weeks dealing with £3m of summer contracts), so I can't comment further :)

I've seen that. Only bit I remember is when he was trying to cross the space without touching the ground so it didn't get him.

I watched the Amy Winehouse thing, which was 2.5 hours' long!

Mum and dad have invested in a meat grinder which has a sausage maker attachment, today they decided to do some pork and apple sausages (they were supposed to wait for me as I really wanted to give it a go...dad couldn't wait). They were absolutely gorgeous!

I was then tasked with going up town to get more provisions to make more sausages....
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.
