I hope we also work on the production before it takes the stage in Sweden. The two singers need to be professionally styled and the U2 style guitar riffs need to be made a bit more prominent.
Nicky Byrne of Westlife will represent Ireland and the rumour is that Australia is going go bring out one of its big guns... Delta Goodrem has been mentioned. I am sooooooooo excited!!!!
According to Pop[lady dog] to win Eurovision you almost always need to be in D minor with no key changes and not 128bpm.
Well, is it.....?
I forgot it was the open day for The Boy's new school so we went there. Seems pretty good. It's one of two and was in second place this morning as it just isn't as high up the league table as it should be given the area it's in.
I was quite impressed but I suspect that you need to be a self-starter to get on. The Boy is not a self-starter.0 -
I don't have a kitchen island, or bifold doors (blimey, not even a patio door) or a glass wall, I do however have flat surfaces which appear to scream out to the boys to stick their carp onto, it's like a never ending battle to keep things clear when they are all home.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Gen Choosing the next school can be such a hard decision! I hope he gets into whichever one will be best for him
Sue Sounds like my so-called "dining table". The last thing there's room to do on it is eat a meal!My sewing machine lives there too and I haven't got room to use that either.

Let's have a look:
I've started at 2009 as IMO that's when Eurovision turned the corner. With the exception of the wishy washy Azerbaijani winner, the songs winning since then have been proper European songs. A lot of people (not including popfemale dog, which is mostly on the money) still think of Eurovision, our place in it, and what is needed to win prior to that, they are imo mistaken. Hopefully CK will back me up on this.
2009 - Fairytale, Alexander Rybak, Norway, 104bpm, D minor
2010 - Satellite, Lena, Germany, 190bpm, B minor
2011 - Running Scared, Ell and Nikki, Azerbaijan, 86bpm, C major
2012 - Euphoria, Loreen, Sweden, 133bpm, A major
2013 - Only Teardrops, Emmilie deForest, Denmark, 111bpm, A minor
2014 - Rise Like a Phoenix, Conchita Wurst, Austria, 82bpm, D minor
2015 - Heroes, Mans Zemmerlow, Sweden, 124bpm, A minor
From this, it would appear that you stand a better chance of winning if you come from German speaking or Scandinavian Europe and perform a song in a minor key. We did have a song in D minor in the contest last night. It was not selected... we may come to rue this decision, apparently the one we did select is, erm, 128bpm.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Had my possibly odd mole thing excised yesterday by a delightful doctor. Even the local injection was almost painless, done worse to myself with needles when sewing! :rotfl: No pain after that, and still none now. Glad it's over though!
Results in 4-6 weeks, he doesn't really expect it to be anything nasty, so will write. If anything found they'll contact me to be seen again.
Such great news about your youngest Sue! :j
We have bifold doors in both kitchen/diner and the back part of the living room. And a peninsula in the kitchen that houses the oven and hob. We've hardly used the bifolds in the living room as mostly the weather's been too horrid to bother. They will be great if/when we get a hot summer though! Kitchen ones are good for the grandkids who love running in and out to the garden and back.Good for bird watching too, though we gave up on feeding the birds so much as the magpies came and took all the suet etc and we've only got one feeder that cages them out. Shame really as we don't see the woodpecker now - he loved the suet cakes!

I'd rather not say what the rest of the room is like, on the grounds that it would definitely incriminate meor rather OH, who has a bad case of "Oh, I'll just put it here for now...." and then it's still there a couple of years later!
Maggie Glad your minor op went well. Thinking of you
Pastures New It's really lovely to think of you being able to have a nice crisp-crusted pie in the near future:j
