It's June. Should I really be wearing gloves? Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

It's june but it's still cold here with the central heating on. Got the gas fire on now.
The more I drive, the more I wonder if London just switched from drivers using indicator lights when turning to just warning everybody by telepathy. In which case, I didn't seem to receive that (presumably telepathic) memo.

Cool here too. We've got 4" of rain forecast for the weekend too which will be exciting, especially as it's the Generalissimos' school fete this weekend.0 -
As I walked back to my car yesterday to drive home, I checked Accuweather. It said 'real feel, 6 degrees'. Walking to work it was much colder... probably 3 or 4. There was a bitter and strong northerly.
This is the first time since I left home 30 years ago that I've got to June without turning the heating off for the summer. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Now that reminds me of one episode of the short-lived BBC Scotland comedy series "All Along the Watchtower" about an RAF early warning station above a tiny Scottish village.
They were talking about the upcoming school sports day and the new RAF officer (English) asked if the notice about it shouldn't read "Indoors if Wet", to get the reply "No, up here it's definitely Outdoors if Dry"

I got fed up several weeks ago with turning mine down every time it came on - it's now set to the frost protection temperature, that shut it up.0 -
I have electric heating here, as no gas available where I live. I tend to turn off over the summer to save money, though I changed it a couple of years ago so now it is more thermostatically controlled... so at least not as expensive to keep on as the old one.
I've looked at the long range forecast and it is due to warm up a bit. However it is also claiming that it will be overcast and rainy for all but one day in the next two weeks. At least it is this coming Sunday and not a weekday. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? We just tell the boiler we like 15 at night and 21 in the day and leave it to do its thing.
June is supposed to be the best month of the year for solar. So far we are struggling to beat December:eek:I think....0
