Why are the stripes hitting at 90 degrees?

Aim to keep them running in the same direction, turning with any kite winders.

The stairs have a full turn and then the first part of the landing is a continuation of that, so the stripes are running in the same direction. Then the landing turns to the left and right ie a T in both directions.

Like this but imagine there is also a long stretch to the right.

The carpet guy reckons it is better to go with the flow up the stairs and accept that the long narrow bit that is to the right will look more long and narrow by having the stripes unchanged (so your are walking across them) than to have the stripes change direction at the top of the stairs.

Thought you would have noticed that!

Surprised by the voting overall, not as political as it could have been.

Woman sends politically motivated song, written directly to annoy the Russian government, wins.

Brilliant. Not impressed with her at all.

First and foremost, sorry silver and GDB for the b*m steer. UK deserved higher than that. The jury vote better reflected the votes it should have received.

Second, told you I didn't think Russia would win, but really didn't expect that result. Bad luck Australia, but two strong results in two years, so off to a good start.

Pretty weak crop of songs this year (which makes uk's position even worse). If any of them were up against Conchita, or Loreen, or Alexander Rybak they would still lose.

It will be interesting when the public voting figures come out by country. Ukraine feels like a very strong protest vote across Europe from countries that are its neighbours. Ironically a lot of the same countries would have given votes to Russia.

And where the heck did Poland come from? It was last ((confused)).

ETA... I've come to the conclusion that the people who say we could enter Adele and still not win are actually correct. Depressed.

I lost my £10 on uk in the top 10. So, now I'm relying on Quidco to make good my loss. This is a bit nerve racking.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

It's hard without being there, but I think I agree with him.

You're not having that Crucial Trading carpet in the photo are you?

Sadly, I think that's true. We can't always be that bad to come near the bottom. I liked this song.
