    Was the flower thing this week? We were in Barcelona two weekends ago. St George.(Sant Jordi) is the patron saint of Catalonia. The tradition there is for men to give women a rose, for women to give men a book. Hotels, restaurants, etc give these to tourists to allow them to join in.

    However if we are talking about a different time/place that suggests he thought your wife was rather lovely...

    It also struck me that St George's Day is celebrated v differently in different countries. How is it celebrated in Georgia?

    I didn't make all the arrangements, I just asked for a song. It was a joint effort really, she made most of the decisions and I did the work (including taking the bins out!).

    I did arrange our wedding pretty much entirely. Mrs Generali sorted out the invites and I did pretty much everything else. She has some problems and we had the Black Dog staying for a bit while we were trying to sort out the wedding so I had to do it.
