I think the facebook app on your expensive pad insists on sharing contacts when you install it.

Ofc, the algorithm can be a lot more sophisticated than I made out. But I'm pretty sure the principle is simply of looking at people you know, and whom they know, and whom they know. Then applying some scoring system.

Of course while I am fairly careful with my personal data DW does not have her own FB account and so uses mine if she wants to stalk people so perhaps she has linked the app to an address book....

Massive data protection breach by my bank advisor.

OH and I have separate bank accounts with the same bank, though different branches. We have both been given the same personal bank advisor (I assume they now arrange these things by post code rather than branch.

The advisor has just emailed me and OH in the same email suggesting he moves his excessive current account balance to some saver account. I am so tempted to email OH copied to advisor, asking OH if he really does have such a big current account balance.

Do it!! Have the essential conversation first, then hit him with all barrels: money ... that tart .... divorce ... taking you for the lot .... don't come home .... locks changed ..... emailed boss so don't expect a job in the morning.....

    Full, all barrels ......

That'll learn them... bleedin' banks :)

I'd rather keep the one that had NO deposit ... because he'd spent it all on taking me out to fun places and eating curries :)

    I don't like curry.

Joking aside, I am right in thinking it is a big breach of confidentiality?

Yes it is unless you have PoA over his account.

If you want to do the right thing you should start with a complaint to the bank saying that you plan to take it to the Data Protection people.

Shocking news re the culture secretary. Ending a relationship with someone just because the job they do might cause embarrassment to your political career :(
