If I think back to who I was dating when I was 18, all I can say is I dodged a bullet. Life would be very different if I had gone down that road. His mother had a brood of sons, all of whom were mummies boys. She hated me. To be fair, my mum was none too keen on him either.

If we had lived together, which we didn't, I'd spend all my time cleaning only for him to come in and disassemble an engine on my dining table. On the positive side, got to see a lot of racing though as we were petrolheads together.

Thank goodness my tastes changed as I got older.

I got a hi-res monitor which is the resolution of 2 normal monitors for the study.

    It seems just as effective.

I think I would have done just fine with Jackie. My only concern would have been that I suspect that she was out of my league quite frankly. I batted to a reasonable standard but she was a bit of a Don Bradman to my Ian Thorpe.

I suspect a Glen McGrath would have come along and knocked my stumps over.

I can't work effectively with fewer than 2. 3 are great to get the most out of a Bloomberg terminal.

I have very fond memories of my 18th birthday and the very lovely Jackie. Obviously she wasn't as pretty as Mrs Generali. Obviously.

I use two at work and my laptop screen makes it three, then I have a Bloomberg terminal next to me with two more screens which I use to track the cricket score. My favourite screen is the TV screen behind me though...

IIRC even the tops of spuds/toms are poisonous.

As are onions (at leats to dogs). Speaking of which...it reads as if we're all turning into 90%ers.

The wind's whipped up very strong!

Always feel sorry for full-time workers, every time there's a bank holiday (or even just a regular weekend) the weather's always nasty.

It's vile here too. Hopefully Gen will be along shortly to say Aus is fab and the weather wonderful... but looking at the clock we may need to wait a bit.

I haven't forgotten that I haven't finished looking up stuff Pastures... newspapers proving quite easy no I have a handle on it if you want more. Also, 1939 Reg now free for libraries, aiui. The rules have changed.

Sorry I've been a bit slow, we have lots of end of financial year stuff at moment.

    I've already been there :)

I had a great running watch which showed you all sorts of things when you were out on a run. The problem was that I couldn't actually see all the detail without my glasses!

I changed to a slightly less ambitious watch but one with a bigger display instead.

Now I'm on the lookout for bionic running shoes... ;)

I am thinking the answer is longer arms or perhaps wear an ankle watch....
