  • Many thanks - was a clever wild guess :)

Are you Ok with me using the image of the poem in my family history blog? How best should I attribute it?

    Regards
    Anne

Yes, just chuck it on there, no attribution required except to mention the "random book". As I said in a previous post I intend to transcribe/photograph every page - when I have done that I'll comment on your blog. It could be some time.... maybe a year ... you know how it is, all best intentions and things :)

I plan to publish them all in book order.... and she's not at the start of the book :)

Right... for all you "why on EARTH do you do it???" types .... isn't that an entirely magical event?

Discovery, surprise, intrigue.... completion. That's why it's so compelling.

Hi I just came because I found you had linked to my blog post and there is a connection to Jean Bennett.

    Can I help?

Can you tell me about the book you are researching?

    Regards
    Anne

Can you say how you found this board? I thought it was hidden from internet searches because it requires people to be logged in before it shows up.

Ooh, that's clever. Hello Anne and welcome to the NPT.
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Indeed it is. This morning after church I got talking to a couple I haven't talked to before. It turns out that they are friends with my cousin and his wife - they worked with them in Singapore a few years ago!

    Absolutely. Welcome Anne. :hello:
Feel free to hang around - we're a friendly bunch. :)
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

I'm not exactly a recluse, but this is exactly why I don't have a facebook or other online presence and limit what I say about myself on forums. Just too easy for people to find out things about you that you don't want in the public arena.

On the other hand, who would be looking for me? Why would anyone want to spy on me?
