I'm not an expert, but I'd expect banks to be closed today but open the rest of the week.
It's a bit complicated because some firms are closed during the Passover period, but there's more here-

Thanks GDB, that was similar to what I'd thought.
I'll find out who they bank with and go from there. I'll get what for arguments sake I'll call the sales office (it's actually one person working from home around full-time work) to deal with it if not.
Thanks again
Hope everyone's good💙💛 💔0 -
I have an indoor wood burner as do many people here in the sticks, all perfectly within the rules. My friend lives in suburban Epsom and has a wood burner.
Very fashionable thing I'm seeing is outdoor kitchens - often built under a roof without any walls. A typical set-up is a sink or three, pizza oven, chimera, fire pit and so on all built out of stone or marble etc with matching floor made of same material.
Oddly enough got talking to a stranger Saturday night in the smokers area (I often have a puff when out on the beer) and showed him my firepit photos, and blow me he is a professional garden kitchen builder - showed us an incredible one he was building that day in North London - 3 sinks, outdoor fridge the lot, costing £35k. Chances of me showing off my little pit for first time ever and met this bloke - made my thing look ridic
Did he give you any tips, though? Like why your rendering fell off?
The rendering quality was much better than I could do, so I was well impressed! No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

It's something that can be sold in two parts or one. One part I was particularly keen to see the back of, the other wasn't too bad lurking around..... as I could make "some use" of it.
So this morning I put it onto a Facebook selling page - and nothing happened. "Is it my wording? Is it my timing? Did I overprice it?"
Nothing happened - then, from nowhere, somebody offering the full price AND they'd collect in the next hour.
Looks like it might be a winner!
Not feeling so bad about my poor choice ... not sure if I'll break even yet, I'd need to sell the remainder to know that....
EDIT: That didn't go as straight forward as it could have! Not sure of the situation right now, I think they bought it, they paid and took it .... but it might not fit their existing piece and they'll phone to let me know ... so I was unclear whether they'd be returning my piece, or buying my 2nd piece.
I need to get out of "retail work".... I'm not cut out for this people contact.
I bought a bargain flower vase in a charity shop, but DW didn't like it and made me hand it in at a different shop. I was vindicated, though, as they put it in a prominent spot in their window, marked at three times the price I'd paid.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Just think though that you've helped 2 charities instead of one
Should give you a good feeling.💙💛 💔0 -

CK is suspicious at what he's being told
I didn't realise it's been that long since I've posted. Will schedule a long catch up for later this week, but will probably have to be in several chunks
They will all be shut today, I would expect some service will operate Wednesday & Thursday & possibly Friday, but mornings only. Next week I would think Sunday morning should be open, shut all day Monday and business as usual from Tuesday onwards. Whether all departments will be open on those mornings, I couldn't say, but some service should operate.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Pyxis yes, it was that one I found. :-)
Pastures That's good news, I'm glad you've got shot of it (whatever it was) at last :-)
Hmmm, my smileys aren't working! Strange! Had to type them manually instead.0 -
Most of our clients at work are Jewish so today was very quiet. So that was nice, and people in our office were getting rid of their bagels, so I had lots of free Jewish bread. Chag Sameach!“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0

My house was built in 1970 with central heating, but also has a chimney. There is a gas fire with fake lumps of coal in one room that uses the chimney but of course doesn't make any smoke.Wheat or spelt. Oats, for Coeliacs. They are made of grains but baked very fast to avoid rising. About twenty minutes from mixing the flour to the finished product.

What viva said.
In other news, my microwave has died and I need to replace it. Do the NP have any advice they think I should bear in mind, please?Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

I had a sense of impending dread the rendering would crack, and sure enough.
Thing is I originally bought a load of ready mixed fire cement but I think it was out of date as it was like blue tack and unworkable so I gave up and just cracked on with a light cement mix. My Bro reckons just fill the cracks as it will move anyway, so just refill cracks as and when.
Not enough room to tile the insid with paviours or bricks because I recycled old materials I had for this and the size was down to what I had available.
Next up, a pizza oven... Ta da, or maybe not. My pond behind the pit keeps me busy, full of taddies. I'd like to catch some lizards and grass snakes for this area but it would be against the law, mmmm0
