How old is your stepson ?
Who linked the card to the X-box....you and your wife.....or your step-son without permission ?
How come no-one noticed the money going out of the account? Over what period of time was the £4000 racked up ?I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Hi im desperate for some help and advice.
My step son has his xbox linked to a bank account in my wifes name. We have just found out that £4000 has come out of this account on xbox transactions. The bank have not taken responsibility saying it was outlr account and we are not getting much help from xbox, we are distraught and don't know where to turn too.
Has anyone advice on best place to start with or any experiance?
And help would be appreciated.
Why and what do you think the bank should be taking responsibility for? Just curious. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Shame about the rude comments i was expecting something more constructive.
There where deductions of £86 sometimes 6 a day over a very short period.
If you cant be of help then please comment else where. Its a shame, this site was the place to go to for help now it seem to be full of self righteous trolls...0 -

Who on earth in their right mind would allow a teenager (or younger) to have what is effectively free access to a bank account?
And yes I do have children with Xbox's and yes I have been responsible about how and when they can purchase items online.
You can name call all you like, it doesn't change the fact that you made the wrong decision and now its come back to bite you in the rear.
My constructive advice would be to reprimand your step son accordingly and start selling items of his to pay for the debt. The Xbox should be the first thing to go.0 -
You could try sending them a tweet - https://twitter.com/XboxSupport - but if you've handed over your card details then don't expect to cut much ice.0

I haven't come here for parenting advice, i have a son of my own and a step son please don't patronise me.
I wouldn't dreamof stopping you in the street and telling you how to bring up your children.
If you canyhelp on this mater then please dont bother posting.
We are distraught about this and don't need obnoxious trolling comments...0 -
I haven't stopped anyone in the street. I've answered a post on a public forum. Somewhat different!
I've given you advice. Reprimand your step son and then sell the Xbox and other possessions of his to pay towards the debt. How else is he going to learn what he did was wrong?0
